We tried the Birnen-Spritz (a new and interesting drink)
and a homemade lemonade
as aperitif, which I highly recommend. There were so many delicious plates on the menu, which is built up a little bit confusing having the soups after the main courses. As main dish I chose the yellow boletuses in cream sauce
, the others went for a beef tartar
and chanterelle soup
. All very good and the main course could just get better. We had lamp chops with vegetables and a cognac-pepper-sauce
and halibut with hazelnut crust
. Unfortunately, a dessert didn’t fit after these delightfulnesses. But the open chocolate bowl with plum-mousse, cinammon-espuma and yoghurt ice cream
looked delicious on the neighbor’s table.
All in all it was such a lovely dinner. I highly recommend the Käfer-Schänke for a special occasion given that the prices are a little bit higher. Thank you Nobilis for the invitation!
