Bikram Yoga in Paris.Since I started studying and spending most of the time in university I’d given up sports. When I was younger I was really sporty – did swimming, skiing, handball, athletics and mountain biking professionally (of course not everything at once). I am definitely not a person who needs to pay attention on how much I eat. You know how much I love eating. Nonetheless, your body changes a lot if you grow up and I must say I am totally satisfied with it. There are only some parts that could be a little bit more worked out. Sport is something to free my head when I am totally stressed out.
My friend Alessa talked me round to try Bikram Yoga in Paris. First I was like – „are you crazy? yoga in a sauna?“. In Paris there are a lot of discovery offers and we took the 10 days challenge.

Bikram Yoga is a form of the traditional hatha yoga, which endures 90 minutes with 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. All this in a room heated up to 30-40°C. Sounds like hell, right? The first time really was. First, you need to get used to the heat and need to learn how to breathe correctly, how much water you need to drink ecc. More importantly, do not give up already after the first work-out! My best work-outs were the ones I was stressed out the most. I was super concentrated.
All in all, I really liked it.

The only drawbacks are that you it takes nearly 2h (should be there in advance + 1,5h work-out + period of rest/changing). Moreover, you are always completely weat and I could’ve washed my hair every day. Last but not least, it is really expensive. Our discovery offer was really pricey with 35€, but normally it costs around 120€/month in Paris. I don’t know if it is cheaper in other countries. But the best thing is to see by yourself. I got back to my daily runs and pilates workouts with Cassie.

Wish you a wonderful day!

Bikram Yoga in Paris.
