Thursday Picks | Birthday countdown {-3 weeks}

Birthday Countdown. I can’t understand people who don’t like their birthdays. Isn’t that one of the best days during the year? As for me I am always counting down to my birthday. Not because of the gifts (I’ve already go everything I wish for (despite the Chanel bag … and Valentino studded heels … aaaaand)) but I love to spend time with my friends. That is also why I celebrate it two times each year – the day before and on the actual birthday. The first uni years I was always back home and of course I had to re-celebrate it back in Munich. Since three years I added one more time bringing all my closest friends down to South Tyrol and spending a weekend together – a fix date in everybody’s agenda! Can’t wait for this year (still so much to organize, though).

As I said I own nearly everything I need. I mean everybody has some bits and bobs on their wishlists:

KITCHEN

• Right now I love looking for interior pieces. I’ve been looking for the perfect cake plat + cover for years now . Usually the cover where super high and round. I wanted a more square and lower one. Luckily, I came across this beautiful piece! I’ve already sent it twice to my mom ;-)
• Even though I don’t have a lot of time for cooking I adore Deliciously Ella’s blog and she’s recently launched her Deliciously Ella cookbook, which I am super excited about. Added on the list!
• Moreover, how can I be a blogger without a julienne peeler to prepare the hip courgette pasta? Definitely not. Hopefully some hungry friends of mine will get it for me in order to prepare the dish for them.

INTERIOR

• There is still so much missing in our apartment (list here). Moreover, I already have an Artemide lamp on my side but another one is missing. But I am thinking of replacing it with two other lamps. Decisions, decisions…
• Also, the colder days are coming that is why a warm plaid for our sofa is desperately needed.

TECH

• I miss my Sennheiser headphones so badly. The first pair broke and I forgot the second one after a nightshift at uni in my bicycle basket. How stupid of me! I’ve been using the Apple earphones since but I definitely need a good pair of headphones. I really love Sennheiser’s quality but I am sure that there are similar models as good and stylish.
• I’ve recently replaced my old MacBook Pro to a 13″ MacBook Pro Retina and haven’t got a proper laptop sleeve yet (I am using the way too big one from my old 15″). I’ve spottet this great brand called HORIZN Studios lately and I am totally in love with this nude one. So clean – so elegant!
• And the most expensive tech item would be the Sigma 35mm 1.4 lens, which I will probably be a gift to myself soon. Perfect lens for shooting weddings, outfits, people…

FASHION

• Oh wow. Fashion on last place but you know – last but not least! There are not that many pieces on my wishlist right now (whereas I constantly have the urgent need of exchanging my wardrobe COMPLETELY). The beautiful Stuart Weitzmann over the knee boots are on my list a couple of years now but they were simply too expensive. I really love the higher ones but the model above would be the perfect everyday boot.
• The perfect red heels. An item I’ve been looking forever. Yesterday I spotted these red beauties from Pura Lopez and they are the perfect Vicky-heels!
