EN \u2013 Montr\u00e9al. <\/b>I spent my last days in Montr\u00e9al and had some last intensive sightseeing days. Generally speaking, Montr\u00e9al city is the biggest island on the St. Lawrence river and accessible by a few bridges. As a matter of fact, one of the only fears of the inhabitants is not being able to leave the island in any emergency case. Another landmark is the three-head hill in the center of the city, whereof it holds its name \u2013 the Mont-Royal<\/b>.
\nDAY 1: I discovered the city on foot and walked from Sherbrooke<\/b> all the way downtown passing the\u00a0Quartier du Mus\u00e9e <\/b>and other nice places. I ended up at\u00a0Cacao70<\/b>\u00a0for a huge brunch (more in my food hopping post on Friday \u2013 follow along also on Instagram #thegoldenbuneats). Afterwards, I started hiking all the way up on the Terasse du Mont-Royal<\/b>, where you have an impressive view over the city (pictures will be up tomorrow). Finally, I walked all the way to Mile-End<\/b>, which is a really cool area on the plateau. There are a lot of really cool shops, which I am also going to show you in a separate post. Finally, I\u00a0finished my sightseeing-tour with a delicious burger at Burger Royal<\/b>.
\nDAY 2: I went to the Vieux Montr\u00e9al<\/b>\/Old Montr\u00e9al<\/b>\u00a0and had a nice stroll at the\u00a0Vieux Port<\/b>\/Old Port<\/b>. For lunch I headed to China Town<\/b> for a great Pho at Pho Cali<\/b>. Afterwards, I headed to the Palais de Congr\u00e9s<\/b>, which is the colorful building. From there on to\u00a0Square Victoria<\/b>, entered the World Trade Center <\/b>and made my way back to the Vieux Port.\u00a0But after the past intense weeks I was totally exhausted and you can probably imagine that I wasn’t able to walk anymore. In the late afternoon I caught up with some friends in Mile-End and had a quick burger-to-go at Patati Patata<\/b>, which is a really cute place in Mile-End. Afterwards, we headed back to the\u00a0<\/b>Old Montr\u00e9al for some drinks at Jardin Nelson<\/b>.
\nDAY 3: After realizing that my flight was at night I still had time for a stroll at the March\u00e9 Jean Talon<\/b>. I simply love markets and I’ve never seen a market where you get so many free appetizers. The other public markets are March\u00e9 Atwater<\/b>, March\u00e9 Maisonneuve\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0March\u00e9 de Lachine<\/b>. Oh man, I had a great time in Montr\u00e9al!
\nMore tomorrow!DE \u2013 Montr\u00e9al. <\/b>Die letzten Tage habe ich in Montr\u00e9al bei Freunden verbracht und habe mir nochmals das volle Programm Sightseeing geg\u00f6nnt. Die Stadt selbst liegt auf der \u00cele-de-Montr\u00e9al und ist die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Insel auf dem St. Lorenz Strom. Sie ist nur \u00fcber ein paar Br\u00fccken zug\u00e4nglich. Daher ist die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Angst der Einwohner, die Stadt in einem Notfall nicht verlassen zu k\u00f6nnen. Das Stadtbild wird vom Mont-Royal <\/b>gepr\u00e4gt, woher sich auch der Name der Stadt ableitet.
\nTAG 1: Ich bin zu Fu\u00df los gestartet und Downtown vorbei am Quartier du Mus\u00e9e<\/b> und weiter in Richtung Cacao70<\/b> f\u00fcr einen leckeren Brunch einkehrt (genaueres gibt es Freitag bei meinem Foodhopping-Post \u2013 auf Instagram k\u00f6nnt ihr mir unter #thegoldenbuneats folgen). Gest\u00e4rkt bin ich dann den weiten Weg hoch auf die Terrasse vom\u00a0Mont-Royal<\/b> gewandert. Von dort aus hat man einen super Blick auf die Stadt und der Weg hoch lohnt sich. Anschlie\u00dfend bin ich zu Fu\u00df nach Mile-End<\/b> spaziert, das ein sehr hippes Viertel auf dem Plateau ist. Ich zeige euch in einem separaten Post mehr Eindr\u00fccke davon. Schlussendlich habe ich mal wieder einen Burger verzehrt, dieses Mal bei Burger Royal<\/b>,\u00a0<\/b>und bin dann tot ins Bett gefallen.
\nTAG 2: Das alte Stadtzentrum konnte ich mir nat\u00fcrlich nicht entgehen lassen und so ging es am n\u00e4chsten Tag gleich ins Vieux Montr\u00e9al<\/b>\/Alte Montr\u00e9al<\/b>. Von dort aus gelangt man auch einfach an den Vieux Port<\/b>\/Alten Hafen<\/b>. China Town<\/b> ist nun irgendwie ein Muss f\u00fcr mich geworden und so hab ich mir mittags eine leckere Sch\u00fcssel Pho bei Pho Cali<\/b> geg\u00f6nnt. Anschlie\u00dfend musste ich mir noch den architektonisch bzw. gestalterisch interessanten Palais des Congr\u00e9s<\/b>\u00a0ansehen, dessen Fassade sich dank der Sonne bunt reflektierte. Von dort aus bin ich bis zum Square Victoria<\/b>\u00a0gelaufen und kurz ins World Trade Center <\/b>reingegangen. Nach den letzten intensiven Wochen war ich aber super m\u00fcde und konnte einfach nicht mehr den ganzen Tag laufen. Deshalb bin ich nochmals hoch nach Mile-End gefahren und hab dort noch die Nachmittagssonne genossen. Mit ein paar Freunden bin anschlie\u00dfend noch auf einen schnellen Burger-to-go zu\u00a0Patati Patata <\/b>gegangen. Anschlie\u00dfend ging es dann auf ein paar Drinks im Jardin Nelson\u00a0<\/b>wieder zur\u00fcck in die Altstadt.
\nTAG 3: Gl\u00fccklicherweise ging mein Flug erst abends, so konnte ich noch auf den March\u00e9 Jean Talon<\/b>. Ich liebe M\u00e4rkte und auch das, ist ein Must-do f\u00fcr mich bei St\u00e4dtereisen geworden. Der Markt war super und ich habe noch nie einen gesehen, wo so viele kostenlose Kostproben angeboten werden. Da konnte man sich echt satt essen. Weitere M\u00e4rkte sind der\u00a0March\u00e9 Atwater<\/b>,\u00a0March\u00e9 Maisonneuve <\/b>und\u00a0March\u00e9 de Lachine<\/b>. Die Zeit in Montr\u00e9al war echt super!<\/i><\/p>\n
