It was hard to preserve this secret here on the blog for such a long time since I knew of it already back in February. Normally I am a person who wants to spread all the {good} news immediately. Most of you already know that I am aiming at a bachelor&#8217;s degree in architecture at the Technical University of Munich. Usually this course takes three years, but in Munich four years as you&#8217;re obliged to study one more year abroad. As all of my fellow students have to study one year abroad, not everybody gets allocated his preferred destination. Out of a long list you had to tick five cities. Luckily enough I got my first choice &#8211; Paris. But it wasn&#8217;t all that easy since I needed to prove a certain language level {B1}, which I did in less than three months starting from zero. Serendipitously do I speak Italian too, which is like my &#8222;second&#8220; mother tongue. Hence it was easier to learn French. Anyway, I am pretty excited to take this next step and I am already moving there TOMORROW&#8230;  <i><b>Moving on. <\/b>Jetzt habe ich&nbsp;lange genug ein Geheimnis daraus gemacht, wohin ich ins Ausland gehen werde. Einige haben es schon auf Twitter mitbekommen und jetzt auch hier. Ab September bin ich f\u00fcr zwei Semester in &#8230;.&nbsp;<u><span style=\"color: #990000;\">Paris<\/span><\/u>. Nat\u00fcrlich werde ich hier auf dem Blog viel festhalten und euch ganz viele Impressionen de la vie parisienne geben. Viele von euch wissen schon, dass ich in M\u00fcnchen den Bachelor in Architektur anpeile. Normalerweise dauert ein Bachelorstudium drei Jahre, aber in M\u00fcnchen ist ein Auslandsjahr Pflicht und so wurde die Studienzeit um ein weiteres Jahr verl\u00e4ngert. Nachdem aber alle Studenten in die ganze Welt verstreut werden, war es auch viel Gl\u00fcckssache den richtigen Platz zu bekommen. Aus einer langen Liste durfte man f\u00fcnf St\u00e4dte ankreuzen, von denen die TU eine Uni ausw\u00e4hlte, bei der man sich dann noch direkt bewerben musste. Schlussendlich entschied aber die Technische Universit\u00e4t wohin man kommt, musste sich dann aber nochmal direkt bei der Auslandsuni nochmal bewerben. Ich hatte Gl\u00fcck und bekam meine erste Wahl Paris. Es ist schon eine Herausforderung, weil ich zu dem Zeitpunkt noch kein Wort franz\u00f6sisch sprach und innerhalb von drei Monaten das Level B1 erreichen musste. Nachdem ich aber auch Italienisch spreche, war es um einiges einfacher. Alles sehr aufregend und mal sehen was auf mich noch zukommen wird.
