Office Update. Jetzt wohnen wir schon 1 Jahr und 41 Tage in unserer Wohnung. Demnach stimmt die Bezeichnung Unsere neue Wohnung auch nicht mehr ganz richtig. Und da es schon lange mehr keinen Einrichtungs-Beitrag gab, wird es Mal wieder höchste Eisenbahn. Mittlerweile sind viele schöne neue Dinge eingezogen und ein paar Bereiche habe ich euch noch gar nicht gezeigt. Wir fühlen uns pudelwohl in der Wohnung, aber trotzdem könnte man hier und da ein paar Dinge ändern. Heute zeige ich euch endlich meinen neuen Arbeitsbereich mit meinem Westwing Now Schreibtisch.

Unsere neue Wohnung neuer Arbeitsbereich

 

In unserem Wohnzimmer ist leider kein Platz für eine kleine Arbeitsecke, daher musste sie ins Schlafzimmer verlegt werden. Die Ecke rechts vom Bett ist immer schön belichtet. Leider habe ich keinen größeren Schreibtisch Platz, daher suchte ich ein kleineres Modell. Letztendlich zog dieser Westwing Now Schreibtisch VALLEZ ein. Mit einer Breite von 80cm passt er super rein und ich mag den amerikanischen Stil mit dem Mix aus Metall und weißem Hochglanzelement sehr gerne. Meine Edelstahl-Stehlampe passt auch perfekt dazu. Hinzu kam noch ein graues mongolisches Lammfell für den Stuhl (den ich bald wieder durch meinen geliebten SKRUVSTA – Drehstuhl von IKEA ersetzen werde). Das Ganze macht den Arbeitsbereich noch etwas gemütlicher. Im Nachhinein stelle ich fest, dass wir nun ungewollt sehr viel grau im Schlafzimmer haben, aber nicht zu viel.

Bildschirm-Auswahl

Mittlerweile arbeite ich schon einige Monate fest zuhause. Zum einen sitze ich an meiner Masterthesis und auf der anderen Seite wird hier mein Blog geschrieben. Auf dem 13’’ MacBook zu arbeiten, wurde mir irgendwann auch viel zu anstrengend. Ich hatte mich vor einem Jahr gegen das 15’’ Notebook nicht nur wegen des Preises entscheiden, sondern weil es für unterwegs einfach praktischer ist. Vor einem Monat habe ich mir dann endlich einen externen Bildschirm gekauft. Ich habe lange nachgeschaut, was es so auf dem Markt gibt. Ein Fotograf empfahl mir die EIZO-Bildschirme und ich war sofort überzeugt. Natürlich gibt es für denselben Preis auch genauso gute Modelle, aber bis jetzt bin ich rundum zufrieden. Ich arbeite nun auf dem Eizo EV2450-BK in grau. Die 23,8 Zoll kamen mir anfangs etwas klein vor, da ich auch Filme drauf schauen wollte. Aber zum tagtäglichen Arbeiten ist die Größe perfekt und passt auch super auf meinen Westwing Now Schreibtisch.

Bildschirm-Zubehör

 

Aber zum tagtäglichen Arbeiten ist die Größe perfekt. Die Anschaffung eines Monitors kann schnell mal ins Geld gehen. Vergesst nicht, dass man beim Kauf eines Monitors noch einiges an Zubehör braucht:

  • MINI DISPLAYPORT (der Computer muss ja auch irgendwie angeschlossen werden) – beispielsweise von CLS-Computer hier | 10,85€
  • TASTATUR (ich hab mir die alte Mac Tastatur geholt) – Apple MB110D/B Keyboard hier | 62,90€
  • MAUS (hatte ich zum Glück schon, blöderweise aber funktioniert sie nicht über Bluetooth sondern über den USB-Sender) – beispielsweise Logitech M185 Maus hier | 12,89€
  • USB-VERTEILER (wegen Punkt 2 und 3 habe ich mir den praktischen USB-Verteiler von Aukey geholt, damit ich immer nur einen Kabel ans MacBook schließen kann. Achtung: Festplatten sind dafür zu stark) – beispielsweise Aukey 3.0 USB Hub hier | 11,99€
  • EXTERNES SOUNDSYSTEM (ich kann mit guter Musik – in guter Qualität, viel besser arbeiten. Leider sind die Boxen des EIZO nicht so gut und bin froh, die externe Variante zu haben) – beispielsweise JBL On Beat Venue LT Dockingsystem hier| 160,98€

= Monitor 279,01€ + Zubehör 98,63 = 377,64€ (+ Soundsystem 160,98€ = 538,62€)

Never ending love story. Guten Morgen! Eigentlich hätte der Beitrag bereits zum Wochenende online gehen sollen, aber mein Computer ließ mich nicht ins Internet einloggen. Ich bin wieder gut zurück von meinem schönen Wochenende in Sölden. Ein paar Eindrücke konntet ihr bereits auf Instagram (@thegoldenbun) sehen. Zudem drehte ich fleißig Videos für euch und vielleicht gibt es ja bald mein erstes Follow Me Around. Ich bin gespannt, was ihr dazu sagt. Habt ihr mein letztes Video aus Lissabon schon gesehen?

Aber noch kurz wieder zurück nach München. Ich wollte schon zu lange auf der Dachterrasse von unserer Architekturfakultät shooten. Hier kommen wieder Erinnerungen hoch, denn vor sechs Jahren begann hier mein erstes Semester. Ein Jahr lang verbrachte ich in den schönen Arbeitsräumen im 5. Stock der Uni. Die Morgenstunden nach dem nächtlichen Modellbauen waren wunderschön. Nach den Uni-Partys sind wir auch immer hier hoch gekommen oder haben nach den Abgaben hier die schönsten Sonnenuntergänge gesehen. Das Vorhoelzer Café gab es damals noch gar nicht. Damit hat nicht nur die Uni, sondern auch die Stadt München ein großartiges Dachterrassen-Café gewonnen. Aber bevor ich jetzt zu emotional werde, höre ich auch. Eine Never Ending Lovestory sind auch Spitzenkleider, am besten in weiß. Zusammen mit Jeans passen sie hervorragend und die Snadaletten fügen noch ein bisschen Eleganz hinzu.

Sanpellegrino Aperitivo. Letzte Woche lud Sanpellegrino zu einem sommerlichen Aperitivo Lungo ins Out of Office in München ein. Die leckeren Limonaden touren derzeit durch Deutschland und bringen gute Stimmung auf verschiedene Wochenmärkte. Letzte Woche fand das Event in Stuttgart statt und morgen wird Frankfurt eingeheizt. Der letzte Stop ist am 1. September in Köln. Mehr Infos dazu gibt es auf Facebook.

Zum Aperitivo in München begleitete mich die liebe , Bastian und sind später noch nachgekommen. Leider hat das Wetter nicht ganz mitgespielt, sonst hätte die Party auf der Dachterrasse stattgefunden. Dank des wunderbaren Sommers ist es schwierig Sommerpartys zu organisieren. Trotzdem ließen wir uns dadurch nicht die Stimmung vermiesen.

Die Hauptakteure des Abends waren die Sanpellegrino Limonaden mit ihren Geschmäckern – Aranciata, Limonata, Pompelmo, Aranciata Rosso. Aranciata kennt ihr bestimmt aus eurem Italienurlaub und ist einer der Klassiker italienischer Softdrinks. Das Ambiente lud auf eine Reise nach Italien ein. Es gab es ein langes Buffet mit verschiedenen Spezialitäten. Das nennt sich Aperitivo Lungo und ist in vielen Städten wie Mailand, Venedig und Florenz Gang und Gebe. Dort gibt es einige Bars, die dies abends anbieten. Es gibt ein langes Buffet mit kalten und warmen Speisen. Alles, was man bezahlt ist ein Drink, der meistens an die 8-10€ kostet. Zum Essen gab es einige sizilianische Schmankerl, wie beispielsweise leckere Arancini.

Stella McCartney Falabella. So ihr Hübschen! Heute gibt es endlich wieder einen neuen Look aus München. Hier auf dem Blog kommt es immer so vor, als wäre ich nie zuhause. Neulich traf ich mich frühmorgens mit meiner Lieblings-Olga am Geschwister-Scholl-Platz, um in diesem tollen Morgenlicht zu shooten. Auf Instagram ist meine geliebte Stella McCartney Falabella super gut angekommen. Leider trage ich sie wirklich viel zu selten. Schön ist sie, keine Frage! Doch sehr viel darf man darin nicht rumschleppen, denn die Ketten können schon auch Mal einschneiden. Ich bin immer sehr dankbar, wenn ich die Falabella an meinen Fahrradhenkel hängen kann. Trotzdem könnte ich sie nie hergeben (vor allem auch, weil es mein damaliges Bachelorgeschenk an mich selber war. Mal sehen, welche Tasche dieses Mal zum Masterabschluss einzieht. Ich liebäugle ja immer noch mit der Céline Belt Bag. Ach Céline macht einfach die schönsten Taschen). Heute zeige ich euch außerdem meine neuen Pumps von Mango. Ich hab schon ewig nach hübschen nudefarbenen Pumps gesucht und dachte mir, bevor ich jetzt wieder ein teures Paar kaufe, das ich nie anziehe, reichen die hier auch. Schuhe versuche ich ohnehin viel weniger zu kaufen, denn mein Schuhschrank platzt wirklich aus allen Nähten. Und hohe Schuhe sind längst nicht mehr das Problem.

Diese Woche habe ich wieder Besprechung meiner Masterthesis und ich bin gespannt, was der Professor zu meinem Konzept und Entwurf sagt. Es kann ja immer sein, dass man kurzfristig nochmal den ganzen Entwurf auf den Kopf stellt. Dann geht es mit meiner Mami erstmals für ein verlängertes Wochenende nach Sölden. Auf uns wartet ein spannendes Programm und ich freue mich Mal wieder wandern zu gehen. Mehr Eindrücke davon, gibt es auf jeden Fall nächste Woche. Bis Ende September gibt es erstmals Reiseverbot!

The Lisbon Guide. Yes, one more point off the travel bucket list! Lisbon feels already like ages ago and it took me quite some time to go through the amount of pictures I took. Before I’ll overload you with tons of pictures I’ve chosen a few spots we really liked. Moreover, I’m thinking to write a post about all the expenses of the city trip, if you’re interested. Let me know!

The Lisbon Guide STROLL THROUGH GRAÇA & ALFAMA

On our first day we walked so much – up and down and up and down. Even though everybody advised me to bring comfortable walking shoes I wasn’t really prepared. Our Airbnb was approximately 25 minutes walk from Praça do Comércio (let’s say it’s one of the most central square). We took a long stroll through the Alfama neighbourhood, passed the Catedral Sé Patriarcal and walked up to the Castelo de S. Jorge. In the end, people seemed to queue for such a long time to visit the castle, which is why we decided to walk down to the Praça da Figueira, Praça Dom Pedro IV and walked up to Bairro Alto.

The Lisbon Guide WHERE TO SHOP

One morning we discovered the area around Intende metro station. We had breakfast at Largo Estudio (more will follow in my food post) and visited the beautiful concept store A Vida Portuguesa. We definitely left a couple of spots for our next time. Lisbon has so many more cool stores, e.g. the LX Factory (where you could spend the whole day), Embaixa Concept store close to Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, Entre Tanto (an indoor market with various designer) or Fashion Clinic (luxury concept store).

The Lisbon Guide DISCOVER BAIRRO ALTO

I’d heard that Bairro Alto is one of the hippest neighborhoods. However, it was surprisingly calm during the day. It was quite hard to find open restaurant because apparently, it all opens up during the evening and night. One night we had dinner at Taberna da Rua das Flores (so delicious, you have to go there) and ended up in a crowded street full of bars and super cheap drinks. We had a couple of XL mojitos for 6€ each and met a couple of nice guys who happened to be French too.

The Lisbon Guide BASILICA DA ESTRELA

The area around Basilica da Estrela seemed to be more like a residential area. Next to it you’ll find the beautiful Parc de Estrela, which is definitely an oasis of calm. The parc is really beautiful and has some lovely fountains. The Basilica da Estrela is a wonderful neoclassical building with a giant dome. The light inside is beautiful and I highly recommend to climb up to the terrace (4€). The view is amazing and moreover you can walk around the rotunda.

The Lisbon Guide CRISTO REI

You cannot miss a visit to Lisboa without having seen the famous Cristo Rei. You’ll have a beautiful view over the Ponte 25 de Abril and the Tejo river. An elevator takes you up to the 80m high platform of the Cristo (5€)

  • HOW TO GET THERE. Take an Uber (~13-17€) | take the ferry from Cais do Sodre and then catch bus 101 (~3.5€)

The Lisbon Guide WHERE TO GO TO THE BEACH

We wanted to go the beach at least once. Therefore, we decided to combine our visit of the Cristo Rei and drive to the Costa da Caparica (the taxi ride cost 7€). The coast on the other side of the Tejo river is really beautiful and quite calm. There aren’t a lot of tourists and you’ll find lovely beach bars. Generally speaking, you should beware that the water in whole Portugal is freakin‘ cold. Nonetheless, as soon as you’re in you’ll get used to it. Here are some of the beautiful beaches near Lisbon:

  • Costa da Caparica: Uber costs around 30€ / bus lines 161 from Praça do Areeiro (single ticket 3.2€ | time table here)
  • Cascais: train from Cais do Sobre (return ticket for 4.50€)
  • Praia da Ursa | best way to reach it via car or scooter

The Lisbon Guide DAYTRIP TO SINTRA

There are some beautiful cities around Lisbon that can be easily reachable by train. I’d heard that Sintra is super touristy but I wanted to see the beautiful city, which is classified as UNESCO World Heritage since 1995. We took a 4.5€ return ticket to Lisbon early in the morning. There are a lot of sights to visit and distances may little bit farther than you’ll expect.

GETTING AROUND. There are busses that run between one sight and the other, which cost 5€ per day. However, there was a long waiting line to get on the bus and we decided to walk into the city, which took us 15 minutes. Uber is surprisingly cheap in whole Portugal and works really well. Being a bigger group we preferred to order a car (3-4€ per ride).

WHAT TO SEE. We visited the Castelo dos Mouros and Palácio Nacional da Pena (20.90€ for both sights). I absolutely loved the view from the castle while the Palácio Nacional da Pena is something you either hate or love. The architecture is just not for everybody and the view is quite the same as from the Castelo dos Mouros. What we missed to see is Quinta da Regaleira, which is one of the most beautiful gothic building in the city (entrance free is 6€). Moreover, I wanted to see the Monserrate Palace, which is a beautiful palace influenced with North African and Indian designs.

  • Note: Be prepared to walk a lot when in Sintra. It’s a 800m walk to the castle from the ticket office and around 1km to the entrance of the palace. As soon as you’ll reach the entrance of the Palácio Nacional da Pena you have to walk all the way up to the hill (there’s a bus for 3€ that takes you up).
