My favorite cleansing products. Let’s talk about my favorite make up removers today. I don’t really have any skin problems and simply use these products to remove my eye makeup. I’ve been using the High Impact mascara from Clinique for years, which was easily removable with hot water. Only if I’d put on makeup, I used my cleansing foam from Avène. As a matter of fact, I really didn’t care that much!

Less is more! I rather put less beauty products onto my skin. But then there came a time when I was speaking to a lot of people about skin care and everybody does a few more cleansing steps more than I do. So I thought I might need to change my cleansing routine a little bit. Here are four different cleansing products that I’ve been using for a while now… (I’ve recently discovered the cleansing milk from Weleda, which I am using every morning and evening. Quite a big change for me now!)

There are a lot of different cleansing products, let alone approaches. But why has it been so difficult to find the right ones in the last few years? I think I was just too lazy to try different products and more or less happy with those I used. I’ve recently read this article from Victorypug about the Korean cleaning steps and I was quite curious (read on if you’re interested). If the result is good why don’t I give it a try? These women don’t do a 30 minutes cleaning every day for nothing, right?

But let’s talk about my favorite products now! As I said, there are various products and I’ve just discovered that I’ve been using quite a lot of them: a cleansing foam / a cleansing balm / micellar water / cream cleanser / bi-phase remover / cleansing milk.

My skin type is normal but I tend to get reddened skin.

Favorite cleansing products -Creamy Remover-

For the no water in the morning people

  • CLEANSING BALM by Sensilis (for dry and sensitive skin)
This is the perfect product for winter! You apply the cleansing balm on your face and gently massage it into your skin. It turns oily and takes off EVERY Makeup! Afterwards, you take it off with a hot towel, which is like a little spa treatment each evening (can be used in the morning too). The  SENSILIS Ritual Care Cleansing Balm contains avocado oil and shea butter, which moisturizes and conditions my skin while bamboo extract promotes cell regeneration. Moreover, there is vitamin E, jojoba, sunflower and mimosa wax in it. One of my favorite products!

  • Cream cleanser by Grown Alchemist
I bought this cream cleanser from Grown Alchemist on the recommendation of a friend. However, I haven’t used the product so much in the last month. Somehow, I didn’t manage to get it into my daily routine. However, I really like its consistence and it smells heavenly of olives. Maybe my skin just needs to get used to all those creamy cleaning products. One big plus is that it’s organic cosmetic!

  • Cleansing milk by Weleda (for sensitive skin)
I’ve been knowing Weleda’s products for years now and have used the one or other product once in a while. Lately, I’ve started to use the almond cleansing milk, which I simply apply on my face and then massage it into my skin. Afterwards, you take it off with a wet wool pad. I cannot start the day without some water on my face, so I use the milk after washing it. To complete the routine I also use either the almond oil or almond moisturizer.

Favorite cleansing products -fresh & fluid remover-

For the first water morning people

  • CLEANSING FOAM by Avène (for oily to normal and sensitive skin)
I have been super happy with this Avène Cleansing Foam for years, which was the perfect cleanser in the evening for removing my makeup – no needs for cotton pads! It contains Avène Thermal spring water. Since I’m not using waterproof mascara, I can’t say if it works for it too. I had a fresh feeling afterwards and it removes lipids meaning oils and fats immediately off the skin which leads to a matte skin.

    here / 150ml for 12,57€

  • Bi-Phase Remover by La Biosthetique (for the eye-makeup)
If you have been following my beautypost for a long time, you may already know how much I love La Biosthetique‘s products. For me the bi-phase remover was a great extra product for removing stronger eye-makeup (as you can see the bottle is already empty). It also removes waterproof makeup without any problem and its ingredients are suitable for sensitive eyes.

    here /100ml 22,90€

  • MICELLAR WATER by Bioderma (or micellar cleansing wipes from Garnier for travelling) (for sensitive skin)
Since my discovery of the Bioderma Sensibio H2O I’ve been using it every single day. I’m the type of person who likes to have lots of fresh water in the morning and evening. Therefore, it’s the perfect product which also cleanses my face and removes every make up.

Recommendation: I use wool pads to clean my face which prevents using up too much of it. Other people put it directly on their hands and splash the face. Works too!

In transition. Greetings from South Tyrol! I’m finally back home for a couple of days and escaped the snow in Munich. Whenever I drive home, I’m super busy meeting all my friends and family, which means lots of pizza and Veneziano! Tomorrow I’ll head down to my dad’s at Lake Garda and I can’t wait to eat a big portion of spaghetti allo scoglio (I’ll have a plate for you too), what I always do when I’m at the lake.

But let’s talk about my look now! Can you believe that I got this stunning trench coat in Barcelona for around 30€? A visit to the Mango Outlet is definitely to recommend. I was so relieved that I found the perfect blue trench. You must know that I’ve been owning only one trench for years, which I bought at the age of 14. As I grew taller, the sleeves got shorter but I didn’t care. I’ve been wearing it for years as a mid sleeve trench. The cut was just timeless. But then I found this model and a new love story began. Another bargain from the Mango Outlet was this white jacket, which is light enough for spring (you must believe now that white is my favorite color). This outfit could (is) definitely daily uniform – comfy jeans, basic top and jacket combined to eye-catching accessories. This gorgeous bag is from the actual Coccinelle Collection and this Coccinelle Arlettis is the perfect daily bag. Even better that it is matching with my beloved Ted Baker booties. As a matter of fact, they’re not only winter boots, so I can easily wear them the whole year round. I hope you like this look!

Wish you a wonderful day!

Retro patterned. Happy Weekend everyone! This week’s gone over so quickly again. I can’t wait until April is over because the weather drives me crazy. Yesterday we had a beautiful sunny day and now it’s raining cats and dogs. Of course, the whole weekend! On the other hand, perfect excuse to stay in bed all day long and watch movies.

Here comes a quick outfit look I shot this week with . It was such a beautiful day that I could actually wear sandals. I bought this cool black fringe sandals from Zara in Barcelona and couldn’t wait to take them out. Perfect for spring is also this colorful mid-lenght trench from Manila Grace, which is one of their hip pieces of the new spring/summer collection.

Wish you a wonderful day!

Restaurants in Munich | Bavarian at Leib & Seele

Leib und Seele. Wow my last restaurant recommendation in Munich was nearly two months ago. Of course, I couldn’t skip my beloved foodfriday and I showed you some places in Europe, e.g my Food Guide for Barcelona.
A couple of days ago I had a lunch meeting at Leib & Seele. I’ve quite missed typical Bavarian food! The weather was so lovely and warm enough that we could outside on the terrace. It is quite loud though as it’s right between to street. However, this wouldn’t change our moods.

Leib und Seele Food & Drinks

But let’s speak about the most important part at Leib und Seele – the food! We had to order four Wienerschnitzel, which were served with Röstkartoffel and a small salad. This combination is quite common in typical restaurants and the dressing is always the same. My company ordered the zander filet with fresh asparagus and one Asia salad. As you can see the menu holds a big variation of different cooking styles. But you can never go wrong with real Bavarian food. The schnitzel was really good and they get a huge plus point from me for including the cranberry jam. Usually I have to order and pay extra every time. The portion didn’t seem so big but I was full afterwards. As sweet end we had to order the strawberries with vanilla ice cream – perfect for such a warm day.

I found the Leib & Seele quite charming and would recommend it after a walk in the Englischer Garten. They always have burger on Mondays but I would recommend real burger places instead. Apparently the Kaiserschmarrn is really good too. I would come back for that!

Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona – where to stay in Barcelona

Hotel Pulitzer. During my last trips I was able to try different hotels and I was happy to spend a night in the Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona. I liked the interior already on the pictures of the website – modern, clean and very cozy.

The Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona is one of the few hotels with a roof terrace that is open to the public. The roof terrace is a small, urban jungle that puts you into holiday mood immediately. Unfortunately, there isn’t such a good view since the building isn’t very high. Other hotels have a clear advantage in this point. Nevertheless, people come also for the ambience.

Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona Our Room

We got a small but fine double room with a nice balcony. Funnily, the second room that we had booked for just one person was bigger and calmer. We in the double room were woken up by a loud noise above our heads early in the morning. It seemed that somebody was moving furniture. Moreover, there was a bit of street noise. Therefore I recommend to ask for a room facing the inside.

Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona The breakfast

The good thing of my last trips was that I was always able to enjoy a substantial and quiet breakfast. Having got such a wide range of salty, hearty, sweet and healthy breakfast variations, you should just take your time. I really liked that there were offered different types of bread, so that there wasn’t just white bread. I positively noticed the breakfast room, which was very bright and refreshing. You don’t like to be overwhelmed by to many impressions, especially in the morning. Therefore, the white interior and the nice marguerites are ideal.

Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona The interior

The interior is very modern and reminds me a bit of the shabby-chic style. I like the combination of old furnishing items with newer ones. The lobby is big and everything has an open and generous design. You can order all drinks at the bar and take them to the terrace afterwards (unfortunately the terrace wasn’t open yet when we were there, but I think that there will be a bar on the terrace in the summer).

Nevertheless, I have one point of criticism. I was awake earlier than my friends, therefore I wanted to go to the gym for half an hour. I didn’t know that the gym is a ten minutes walk away from the hotel. The same applies to the pool and all other leisure activities. But that wasn’t such a big problem; I could have just asked at the beginning.

All in all, the Pulitzer Hotel is perfectly located with a fast connection to the airport (approx. 20 minutes by bus). Moreover, all shopping facilities as well as sights are just around the corner or in walking distance.
