Restaurants. There are times when I constantly head out for dinner or lunch and on the opposite days which I just prefer to stay at home and to cook. In the last two weeks I didn’t get to try any new restaurant but my list is longer than ever. Munich’s Restaurants are closing and reopening all the time, which is quite good if new great ones open. Anyway … here are five new and already existing restaurants I’d love to try in the next weeks.

Drunken Cow is a newly opened burger & steakhouse in Maxvorstadt. The burger look to die for on the pictures and I’ve only hear good things about their steaks too. If you’re up for some cocktails they have a huge variation of different ones.

WOOD is also a new café / bar at the Münchner Freiheit which focuses on serving clean and healthy food. Their Salat der Saison mit Grillgemüse, Avocado und Humus-Dip looks delicious.

My dad has already been to the new Truderinger Waldwirtschaft and loved it. As soon as we get our car we’ll definitely head down to Trudering for some good Bavarian food.

Last but not least Plaza Mayor is on my list. Unfortunatley, I couldn’t make it to their opening but I will go there very soon. The interior looks already great and friends of mine have been there two weeks ago. I’m curious how it tastes.

Turquoise coat. I’m baaaack! The temperatures are so chilly these days, which were perfect to shoot a new look with Irina. It definitely feels like spring these days! After 2-3 years I finally got my 100mm 2.8f macro lens fixed, which I’d been using for my outfit shoots years ago. You see how long someone can postpone something. At that time I thought it might me super expensive to get it repaired but in the end it was a lot cheaper than getting a new lens. I like it a lot because of its beautiful bokeh (background bluriness) and for streetstyles and portraits it works much better than the 50mm 1.4f.

In my last post I told you that I finished my uni project on Monday and our final crit was yesterday, which went quite well. This semester’s project was an urban planning of Berlin’s City West neighborhood, which is why I spent a couple of days in Berlin in November. I can’t believe how quickly my whole studies went by. In a few months I’ll be starting my masterthesis and I don’t know where I’ll stand at the same time next year.

Alright, enough the blabber! I’m going to write an exam in an hour and then I’ll go back to work. From next week on I’ll be working full time again. But don’t worry you’ll get to hear from me much more next month!

BAR CENTRALE. Finding a place to eat in the city centre of Munich shouldn’t be that difficult. However, finding a good one and not too overprices is quite hard. One of my favorite Italian restaurants is the BAR CENTRALE, which I discovered through my boyfriends. Until now we’ve been there quite a lot of times and I was never disappointed.

The restaurant / bar is still quite authentic and reminds me of an Italian Espresso Bar in the front part. People also love to pop in to drink a quick café al banco. For breakfast the BAR CENTRALE offers some delicious brioches and more sweets. I’ve only been there for lunch. Their dishes change daily and prices range from 7 – 10,50€. One dish can always be ordered as a menu including a small salad. Even though the dishes are written on an old blackboard, the friendly waiter will help you out with the ingredients. I couldn’t guess what Penne Wodka would be. However, we went for two other dishes – the linguine pescatora with fresh mussels and the ravioli pom bas. Both dishes were really tasty! Also, if you’re around the corner stop by for an Aperol Spritz. The atmosphere is always special there!
