Some of the destinations below are already on my list for a long time! After having read this article from Condé Nast a few more joined. When I was younger my aunt used to say that she won’t travel the world with her kids, otherwise they would have already seen everything. It’s better to travel the world with the partner! On the one side it’s quite true. I love to share my experiences with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, my boyfriend’s summer vacation will cross with the final spurt of my master thesis. Therefore, we have to postpone a longer travel to next year but we’ll do some shorter ones instead.
Next to the places I’ve already visited I’ll probably visit two of my best friends in London in February. Rome, Paris and Vienna are coming up in March. Moreover, I’d love to spend a couple of weekends at lake Garda!
travel bucket list BARCELONA
I got a trip to Barcelona from my parents as Bachelor degree gift two years ago and still didn’t take the time to redeem it. Hopefully I’ll visit in March for a couple of days.

travel bucket list LISBON
Also Lisbon is one of the destinations I’d love to visit in late spring. Ever since reading Pereira Mantains in school I was faszinated by this beautiful city.

travel bucket list TOKYO
I’ve been dreaming way too long about the beautiful Sakura in early spring. I’m sure a couple of days in Tokyo won’t be enough as Japan has a lot more beautiful destinations to hide. Besides eating as much sushi as I can I’d love to float on a boat through the dreamy gardens under the blooming cherry blossom trees. How cheesy!

travel bucket list MARRAKECH
The La Mamounia in Marrakesch was probably the most blogger-visited Hotel this year. No wonder because the hotel seems like fairytale palace from Thousands and Oone Night.

travel bucket list AMORGOS
We spent a lot of summer holidays in the beautiful Cyclades of Greek and I would catch a place immediately to go there. Already worth for the food! My boyfriend keeps telling me of this gorgeous small Island called Amorgos, which shouldn’t be that touristy. On the pictures it already looks gorgeous!

travel bucket list AMALFI COAST
The Amalfi coast is probably one of the pretties coasts of Italy followed by Cinque Terre. The colorful houses, beautiful beaches and dreamy sunsets. What do you want more?

travel bucket list CROATIA
Up to know I couldn’t imagine a holiday vacation without sandy beaches. That’s probably one of the main reasons, which kept me from traveling to Croatia. A lot of friends have already spent their holidays there and reported only good things. Hopefully, I can cross this destination from my list too. Even better with a group of friends in a vacation home!

travel bucket list NORWAY
Herefore, I put the whole country on the list. A friend of mine spent his exchange yearin Norway and went hiking every weekend to enjoy the beautiful nature. Moreover, I definitely want to visit Oslo to see the National Opera.

travel bucket list BUDAPEST
As you can see there are lot of European cities on my list this year. Magdalena enthused of her girls trip to Budapest. I want to visit it as soon as possible. I wanted to write that is pretty close to Munich by car but Google Maps tells me 6h. Farther than expected.

travel bucket list TURIN
Italy being my home country wasn’t really on my list the past years. Nonetheless I crossed Florence off from my list. Turin is called the Paris of Italy and was already recommended by so many people- cultural, culinary and architecture-wise. We’ll see!

What are your travelling plans for 2016?
Others à la mode | my favorite looks of the week #2

Let you inspire!
Pom Poms
How pretty is this Pom Pom-sweater? I am a huge fan of statement sweaters, which you can combine with everything – pants, skirts.

Teddybear coat
This teddybear coat looks just too cozy on Katelyn. It reminds me that I should take out my beloved Marc Cain jacket out again.

Classic Camel
All kinds of vests are the statement piece of the year – looks even prettier when belted. In fact, you can wear it for every occasion. Oh, and that Chloé bag has been on my list forever.

Fakefur and long cardigan
Red is such a great statement color, which is also why it is my favorite. However, I wear it way to rare. Valerie matches it with a striped shirt and leather leggings – so comfy you can wear it!

Pink & bouclé
If there is one thing I love Patricia’s blog for is that she always creates lovey shootings (look back to her early postings). I would wear this look exactly the same way – unless I had such a lovely bouclé skirt.

Red fedora hat
If this isn’t the perfect office look. Leaving out the fact that I am still in search for the perfect flare pants. Laiyin spices it up with a red fedora hat and needless to say that this Chanel flap bag is to die for.

Layering with overknees
Overknees and layering! No question that black and beige (grey??) go so well together. Nina shows how easily you can style overknees with lots of layers above. The perfect daily winter look!

Suede and stripes
With temperatures like in Spain you can wear your leather jackets all year round. I fell deeply in love with this gorgeous snake print bag which Laetitia matches with a silk scarf.

Poncho & mules
Irene is one of Milan’s style blogger and she always creates such great looks – strong, sometimes more masculine and cool. I absolutely love this combination of the poncho with the fringe bags. However, I’m not sure if temperature still allow mules in Milan.

Cut-off flare pants
Any was one the big blogger when I started but somehow she disappeared. Nonetheless she updates her blog with new posts here and there. Lately this gorgeous look came only with this perfect cut-off flare jeans. Also, a sheer t-shirt beneath a coat looks definitely great.

Winter whites with brown accents
blouse – Warehouse (currently on sale here / also love this one)
Jeans – Guess (more here)
coat – Benetton (old / more here)
bag – Ralph Lauren (get it here)
boots – Ted Baker (currently on sale here)
fake fur – love this one / similar here / here
It has finally snowed in Munich! As a matter of fact, this look doesn’t really fit with the current weather. In this outfit I’m wearing my beloved cream winter coat from Benetton combined with a fake fur collar. I know – best would be not to wear any kinds, which remind of fur. But it looks much more elegant and it is easy to combine. This embroidered blouse from Warehouse comes from Asos Sale, which was definitely a great bargain. I still don’t have so many tops! I pulled on this pretty bouclé jacket from More & More and voilà – finished is my winter whites-Look!
Enjoy your (snowy) weekend!
Ps.: most of the items I wear are on sale!
Beer tasting at the Westin Grand München
[unpaid Advertisement / unbezahlte Anzeige*]

You know that I am a huge food lover and slowly I am learning more about various drinks and what matches with which kind of food. I’m sure when it comes to fine dining most of you will pick wine. And this is exactly why I was quite excited for the beer tasting of the Eiswerk brewery at the Paulaner’s at the Westin Grand München.
Kristall Weizen with Rosato
Brewery Eiswerk’s beertasting at the Westin Grand München
Together with a group of journalists and blogger I was invited to the Paulaner’s at the Westing Grand München for a beer tasting (Conny and Irina joined too) . As an aperitif we were served a fruity Kristall Weizen with Rosato, which was surprisingly delicious. I might serve it sometime this summer. This was just the start of our 5-course tasting menu where in total six sorts of beer were served.
Smoked dark beer onion soup drunk with a „Joseph Spezial“ of the Eiswerk Brauerei
Brook trout tartar with a hop vinaigrette drunk with a Paulaner Russen alohol-free
right braised ox cheeks with baby carrots and lyes roasted dumplings drunk with a „1881“ from Eiswerk
roasted pike-perch fillet served with a dark wheat beer
Mandarin Bock drunk with a wheat beer-Tiramisu with raspberries
If you’re interested the Paulaner’s im Westin Grand München organises beer tastings also on request. Especially their international guests love to try new types of beer, which you can also order in the Restaurant. However Special ones are limited and you might not get it the next time you’ll return. But even better to try new ones!
I hope you liked the article and whish you a wonderful day!

Our new home #5 | the bedroom part one

The mattress. One room which is still missing up on the blog is our bedroom, which is not so easy to take pictures of. Given the fact that we live in the first floor and have a huge tree in front of living room makes it a bit darker than the other rooms. Around noon (if the sun is shining) the room is super light but I am rarely home around that time.
Let’s talk about our mattress today! I’ve been having my old bed for quite a long time but as soon as my boyfriend and I moved together we decided to get a bigger 1,60 metre bed (in the end we should’ve taken the 1,80m). Sleep comfort is very important and you all know that mattresses are most of the times the expensive part of a bed. I am a huge fan of boxspring beds but they are way too expensive. Therefore I was looking for a similar mattress system for a good price. I found this Danish start-up DreamZebra through a friend of mine.
Edit: please do not order from Dreamzebra. Apparently the start up no longer exists!

WHICH KIND OF MATTRESS TO PICK
Arranging a flat takes time. Even more time to pick the right type of mattresses as there are so many different ones: innerspring mattresses, hybrid ones, waterbeds, latex mattresses and many more types.
The ones from DreamZebra are memory foam-latex-mattresses with a three-layering flexibility, which is important for the air circulation of the mattress. If you have a slut frame you musn’t worry about that but we wanted to place ours on the pavement only. Wwe didn’t have a bedframe, because DreamZebra promised that their mattresses would also do without slut frame. The memory foam tend to heat up but the latex layer in between cools the upper layer down. Their mattresses consist of a top layer which normally would heat up but in between the third one there is a second cooling down material, which prevents it.
COMFORT WITH DREAMZEBRA
The mattress adapts to shape and weight of your body. Moreover, it prevents pressure point which ususally make you change your position a lot of times during the night. We already slept really well on it but even better in combination of a slut frame. We an upholstered bed, which I am madly in love with. One of the main reasons wasn’t comfort but sleeping a little bit higher, which is much better in our eyes.
PRICE
In conclusion, I would definitely spend more on bed furniture, because it’s good for your health and lasts longer. Dream Zebra’s mattresses start with a size of 80cm with 300€ up to 700€, which is definitely a great deal.
