Ob-La-Di. We’re already back in Munich and spent some great (way too short) time in Paris. There are a lot more pictures waiting for you but why not starting with a brand new café recommendation in Paris.

It is indeed brandnew and this cool café called Ob-La-Di has recently opened in the northern part of the Marais right next to one of my favourite taco places Candelaria (full review here) and Argentino Clasico, which I will tell you more about next week. It is also very close to Le Marché des Enfants Rouges (full review here). Being in the city I’ve finally managed to meet up for coffee with Ylenia whom I’ve been following for years now.

The café Ob-La-Di was just as cute as I’ve expected it. Pretty titled floors and marbled tops combined with light wooden elements. Not to mention the copper coffee jars! Titled floors + marble + copper + flowers = so insta-bloggish! I’m not sure whether one of the owner is Mexican or has Mexican influence but Ob-La-Di serves one of their traditional cooling drinks called Marchata. I’m sure this trend will reach Munich very soon! Unfortunately I took a café glacé which was way too strong and I felt so bad all afternoon afterwards.

All in all, it is one more great café that I highly recommend. Also, their avocado – pomegranate toast looked delicious on Instagram!

Enjoy!

Roadtrip français Part III | Wine tasting in Pouilly & Sancerre / gourmet lunch at Le Chat {Bourgogne}

Roadtrip Part 2. After spending a couple of days in the Auvergne we headed northwards to spend some days at my boyfriend’s home in the Bourgogne. I’ve visited Nevers for the first time this winter but it was way too cold and now in summertime everything looks so much nicer.

There area around Nevers is well known for a great wine so we made a trip combined with wine tasting in Pouillyand Sancerre. My boyfriend has done some research before where to get some good Pouilly and ended up buying some at Cédrick Bardin, which is definitely a good address. The bottles were at 8€ and we also took two of the good ones, which were at 12€ per bottle (which is still not a lot for good wine). Unfortunately we were really stupid and left the wine in our hot car and one ended up opening itself – the whole car smelled of white wine. Luckily we weren’t stopped by the police!

A friend of my boyfriend recommended having lunch at Le Chat which is a lovely restaurant by Laurent Chareau, who was a former sous-chef to Iñaki Aizpitarte of Paris’s Le Châteaubriand. The food was creative, delicious with reasonable prices. In fact, the lunch menu starts from 15€ main course + coffee / 19€ appetizer or dessert + main course / 24€ starter + main course + dessert or cheese variation + coffee / 27€ starter + main course + dessert + fromage + coffee. Plus they serve some great wine from the region! Definitely a must when you’re around this area!

Lastly, we ended up buying some more wine at Vincent Bernard around Sancerre. We didn’t know that they also had a great red Sancerre. We picked up a few more bottles, which were much more expensive than the white ones from Pouilly. Count around 20€ per bottle. Apparently, they have such a great request that they only sell their wine to the old customers who they’ve been supplying from generation to generation. Given the fact that we’ve made all the way to their wineyard he sold us a couple of bottles. Super friendly also! Moreover, he told us that they don’t ship their wine in summertime because they’re afraid that the heat would destroy the quality of their wine. Therefore, they’re taking up shipping again in November.

– what a beautiful scenery in La Charité-sur-Loire

All in all, it was such a lovely experience and hopefully the wine tastes as good as we’ve tried en France. I’m sure you’ve experienced that for example baguettes and croissants don’t taste the same outside of France.

Wish you a wonderful day!

Wineyard. A white lace dress and I are an endless love story. I remember spotting this white lace dress at Mango two years ago and luckily they had one last one left in my size. I was wearing it non-stop. But I don’t remember ever showing it in an outfitpost. Never too late! Here I comined it with my new summerly wedges from Oasis and after ages I took out my Angel Jackson bag.

Wish you a wonderful day!

Roadtrip Part 2. Hello we’re en route to Paris We’re finally heading back to the city for two days (way too short!!). My to-do-list is longer than ever and hopefully I’ll get to explore new restaurants, cafés and more. For now I have some picture from our hiking day.

On our second day in the Auvergne we drove to the summit of Puy Mary in the Monts du Cantal, which was approximately one hour away from Saint-Flour. It’s been ages that I’ve been hiking but it was so worth it. We also had a little picnic on top but the wind was quite freezy. Luckily, we took some sweatshirts with us. The view onto the mountains and inactive volcanos was great! Looking forward to coming back. I’d love to see the mountains in the early mountain fog!

Wish you a wonderful day!

Sunflowers. Just in time for the weekend I’ve got a new look for you. On our route we passed so many sunflower fields that my heart jumped for joy. Such a beautiful scenery you don’t get to shoot every day!

In this look I wore my silk skirt from Hessnatur for the first time – a bargain from their sample sale. I absolutely love the summerly print and the material is super light. And you can’t believe how hot it is in France right now because of the Canicule. Luckily it cooled down last week and the temperatures are again resistable.

I am slowly feeling my way into our blogger-projects topic #Consciousshopping. As you know I try to avoid shopping clothes from underdeveloped countries. Given that, I was surprised that this skirt from Hessnatur, which I thought they’d produce in Germany, came from China. But you live and learn. After a little research I found out that they still produce in China and so on but they focus on organic materials and produce ecological fashion. Astonishingly, the clothes aren’t that expensive. Moreover, sales are on now, which is perfect to grab your item of sustainable fashion. I’ve already seen their newest collection in the showroom, which I can’t wait for.

Wish you a wonderful day!

Ps.: I’ve set myself a little rule for our #Consciousshopping-project saying that one or two pieces have to go when buying new or second hand. Unfortunately, this rule hasn’t worked that good so far. After buying 4 new pairs of shoes, 1 new skirt, 2 new dresses and 4 Tops I am currently at -22 pieces (new items count double). Hopefully the fleahmarket will get me back into plus!!
