Somerset House. And here comes one of the last London posts – I promise. Every year ice-skating is one my absolute-to-do-list in pre-Christmas-time, but somehow I never manage to do it. Even though I prefer ice-skating on lakes better, artificial ones also have a special flair in cities. Especially the one at the Somerset House in London. Skating a few rounds and drinking some cups of mulled wine. Okay, now I miss London even more!

I’m moving to a new place // Closet questions

EN – Newplace. The past months have been absolutely chaotic. Munich became one of the worst places to find an apartment. But finally I found my own place!
Moving has it’s assets and drawbacks – the good thing is that I can buy some new furniture. The most important question is – what kind of closet to get me. This time I am definitely looking for an alternative for IKEA so I went back to the good old Ottoversand, which has definitely some nice furniture as well. Now I only need to decide which closet I want. I am still doubting whether I want a real closet or an open version.
Seeing this pictures above makes me miss my closet back home even more, but I can’t wait to show you my new one.

DE – NeueWohnung. Die letzten Monate waren so chaotisch. Das Wohnungsangebot in München ist so schlecht. Nun bin ich aber glücklich, dass ich endlich meine eigene Wohnung gefunden habe. Umziehen hat seine Vor- und Nachteile – das Gute daran ist sicherlich aber, dass ich ein paar neue Möbel kaufen kann. Und das allerwichtigste Möbel ist eindeutig der Kleiderschrank!
Dieses Mal habe ich mich nach einer Alternative zu IKEA umgesehen. Letztendlich bin ich wieder zum guten alten Ottoversand zurückgegangen. Erinnert ihr euch noch an die Zeiten früher, wo man über den Katalog bestellt hat? Ich habe neulich mal wieder auf deren Website geschaut und sie haben wirklich ein paar schöne Sachen… jetzt muss ich mich nur noch für den perfekten Schrank entscheiden.
Wenn ich mir das Bild oben ansehe, vermisse ich meinen Kleiderschrank zuhause umso mehr. Aber jetzt freue ich mich schon, euch die ersten Eindrücke meiner neuen Wohnung zu zeigen.

The Savoy Hotel. Last year I spent Christmas time in Paris, where I was a little bit disappointed of the lack of Christmas lightning and decoration. But last weekend turned out to be the perfect moment to fly to London where everything was already beautifully decorated. This time we did a sightseeing differently and explored the interior design of a few hotels. The Savoy is one of London’s oldest hotels and their foyer was breathtaking. It was a merge of classic English with a touch of French attitude. Probably the perfect place for a five-o’clock-tea.

EN – Booties. And here comes a quick late evening post. I just came back from an amazing weekend in Berlin with Eis.de & SXXsells, which I will tell you more soon.
Today is the last day to enter the Roland Bootie Battle, wherefore I chose to combine these biker booties with a feathered skirt from Mango and a grey bobble sweater from Levis.

The Joint in Brixton. London is such a great city for foodies like me. There are so many great places. My friend brought us to Brixton Market, which is such a cool spot and you’ll surely find something to appease your hunger. It reminded me a little bit of the Marché des Enfants Rouges in Paris. Everybody is so relaxed and cool, people bring their own drinks and have a good time. We choose The Joint in Brixton, which is famous for their pulled pork or chicken burger. It was really good, but I prefer a classic burger. On the other hand, the side dishes were so delicious. I still feel the taste of those onion rings and chili ribs in my mouth. Also, cool for a nightcap! And now I should stop talking about food because I am starving. Speak to you tomorrow!
