MilanIII. Navigli is one of the great parts of Milan, which reminds me a little bit of Venice. I love the city’s variety. There is a great choice of restaurants and pubs. Moreover it is really artistic and you find small shops which sell handmade goods. As you can see there are a lot of people struggling down the canal – of course, it was Sunday. There was not that much water in the canal so I thought it might be due to the drought. But apparently they sluice the canal in order to prevent it from freezing. Hopefully the next time it will be filled again. Nearby there is also a great fish market – I am sorry for those who hate fish. I simply love it. In fact, I could eat all day long seeing all those delicious things on the markets and supermarkets. I wish you a good start into the week!
MailandIII. Navigli liegt im Süden von Mailand und erinnert mich ein bisschen an Venedig. Die Häuser sind viel niedriger und man spaziert entlang einem Kanal an Restaurants, Pubs und Shops vorbei. Es ist auch sehr künstlerisch angehaucht und man findet sehr viel handgemachte Sachen. Natürlich sind immer viele Menschen unterwegs – es war ja aber auch Sonntag. Wie ihr sehen könnt ist der Kanal fast leer und ich hab mich schon gewundert warum. Im ersten Moment denkt man natürlich an die Dürre, aber die Mailänder lassen den Kanal aus, damit er nicht einfriert. Das nächste Mal will ich ihn, dann wieder voll sehen :) In der Nähe ist auch ein Fischmarkt (tut mir Leid für diejenigen, die keinen Fisch mögen und sich die Bilder ansehen müssen) und die Sachen sehen so lecker aus. Nicht nur dort, aber auch in den italienischen Supermärkten findet man so leckere Sachen – ich könnte den ganzen Tag nur essen.
