EN – Torontoeats. As it is FoodFriday I’ll take you on a little „Foodhopping“ through the city before I’ll show you my Toronto diary. When we arrived we didn’t have a plan where to go, so I though – why not search some great spots on Instagram. Under the hashtag #torontoeats or #torontofood you’ll find plenty of tipps. And Alex (@al3xxx) was so nice to send me a whole list of his favorites. The ones above were the ones we tried and loved. You’ll find Alex’s recommendations below…  DE – Torontoeats. Es ist wieder FoodFriday und bevor ich euch in Toronto ein bisschen zeige, führe ich euch erstmal kulinarisch ein bisschen herum. Wie in jeder Stadt tappt man so leicht Touristenfallen und so habe ich mich ein bisschen informiert, wo man gut essen gehen kann. Dieses Mal habe ich ein bisschen auf Instagram mit dem Hashtag #torontoeats und #torontofood gestöbert und habe mit Hilfe von Alex (@al3xxx) ein paar tolle Restaurants gefunden. Oben seht ihr diejenigen, die ich getestet und für lecker befunden habe. Unten eine ausführliche Liste mit meinen und Alex Tipps… Ich habe noch einen kleinen Tipp am Rande für alle Wein, Spirituosen, Zigarren und Schokoladen-Liebhaber – bei Vidamo könnt könnt ihr euch etwas genauer darüber einlesen.

DE – Sonnenbad. Kann es gar nicht glauben, dass es hier schon so warm ist, dass wir den ganzen Tag am Stand verbringen konnten. Strand, Sonne und See – was braucht man mehr. Den Sonnenuntergang habt ihr ja schon im letzten Post gesehen und das Licht war super um damit ein bissschen zu experimentieren. Nächster Stop: Toronto…

Postcards from Lake Ontario

EN – Lake Ontario. After our short stay in Ottawa we drove all the way down to Lake Ontario. And, oh my – what a beauty! First, we drove all the way to the Eastern end – to the Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area. It was really nice to drive along the coast and get some nice views on the rocky beaches. Unfortunately, the wildlife area was nothing special. Consequently, we drove back to the Sandbanks Provincial Parks where we stayed for the day and one night. A day at the beach was definitely what I needed and if the water wouldn’t have been so cold I’d gone for a morning swim. The next morning we enjoyed a great breakfast at The Lighthouse Restaurant in Pincton, which I can highly recommend if you’re staying around this area. Next stop: Toronto!
More tomorrow!DE – Lake Ontario. Nachdem wir uns kurz in Ottawa aufgehalten haben, sind zum Lake Ontario gefahren. Der See ist einfach nur wunderschön! Zuerst sind wir bis ans östliche Ende zur Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area gefahren, die leider nicht so spektakulär war. Deshalb ging es zurück zu dem Sandbanks Provincial Park, wo wir eine Nacht blieben. Tagsüber waren wir am Strand und konnten endlich mal etwas Sonne tanken. Leider war das Wasser noch etwas zu kalt. Am nächsten Morgen haben wir uns erst Mal mit einem deftigen Frühstück im The Lighthouse Restaurant in Pincton gestärkt und sind nochmal zurück zu den Sandbanks. Nächster Stop: Toronto!

Postcards from Ottawa

EN – Ottawa. We left Montrèal around lunchtime and headed on to Ottawa, where we stayed for another night. Although, it is Canada’s capital it has not really much to offer. The city is quite calm, has a couple of parks and locals say their only attraction is the Parliament. But with the 26°C we had some relaxing moments enjoying a summerly moment. Next stop Lake Ontario…
More tomorrow!DE – Ottawa. Wir haben Montrèal mittags wieder verlassen und sind nach Ottawa für einen Tag und eine Nacht gefahren. Ottawa ist Kanadas Hauptstadt, hat aber leider sightseeing-technisch sehr wenig zu bieten – ein paar Parks, Blick auf das Schloss und auf den Fluss. Das Parlament ist die einzig große Sehenswürdigkeit. Aber dennoch war es ein schöner Tag und wir haben die sommerlichen 26°C genossen. Nächster Stop: Lake Ontario…

EN – Striped. After we left Québec City we drove all the way down to Montrèal, where we spent a night at a friend’s place. The weather was great and we drove to the Parc Jean-Drapeau on the Île Sainte-Hélène, which is one of the smaller islands in the north of Montrèal. I didn’t get much to see about the city, but I will come back at the end of my trip for some days to explore it. Here is a cozy traveling outfit with a loose striped shirt and black jeans.

DE – Gestreift. Nachdem wir Québec City verlassen haben, sind wir nach Montrèal gefahren, wo wir eine Nacht bei einem Freund übernachtet haben. Bevor wir in die Stadt gefahren sind, sind wir noch im Park Jean-Drapeau auf der Île Sainte-Hélène im Norden von Montrèal spazieren gegangen und haben den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Da wir nur kurz in Montrèal geblieben sind, habe ich nicht all zu viel gesehen. Das hole ich aber in den letzten Tagen unseres Roadtrips nach. Heute zeige ich euch noch ein gemütliches Reiseoutfit – eine gestreifte Bluse und eine schwarze Jeans.
