Duck & Waffle. Was sagt ihr zu diesem unglaublichen Ausblick? Ich denke der Heron Tower ist nach dem neugebauten Sharp-Tower das höchste Hochhaus in London mit einem tollen Blick auf die Stadt und auf die „Foster Gurke“. Auf den letzten beiden Etagen befinden sich zwei Restaurants – Sushi & Samba und das noch bekanntere Duck & Waffles. Letzteres klang so interessant, dass wir es unbedingt ausprobieren mussten. Wir hatten am Vortag versucht, noch einen Tisch zu reservieren. Abends war es schon ausgebucht aber um 17 Uhr ging es doch und es war noch sehr ruhig. Auch in der Bar war noch nicht allzu viel los. Aber dann, etwas später, füllte sich das Lokal mit Geschäftsleuten, die sich zur Happy Hour trafen. Das berühmte „Duck & Waffle“ muss man unbedingt mal ausprobiert haben.

EN – London. My last time in London in November feels already like ages ago. To kill two birds with one stone I included a short stay in London on Tuesday before I was going to Aarhus early in the morning the next day. After feeding our stomachs with a tasty burger at Honest Burger (post will be coming up soon!) we headed to our second spot on our to-do-list. Camden Market is definitely one of my favorite places now – such a vibrant and lively neighborhood. It is full of little shops, but after a while you will notice that each of it is selling more or less the same stuff. My highlight therefore was this cute little antique shop and the vespa seats along the canal. And you should go there with an empty stomach because there are food stalls everywhere and the food smells delicious. Finally, we concluded our day with cocktails and dinner at the Heron Tower (post will be up soon too). Again – what a wonderful day in London.

Also hab ich in meinen Interrail-Trip noch einen Tag in London eingeplant bevor ich am Mittwoch in der Früh nach Aarhus geflogen bin. Mit einem Freund haben wir zuerst bei Honest Burger unseren Reisehunger gestillt (Post kommt noch) und sind dann zum Camden Market gefahren. Das Viertel ist so cool und jetzt definitiv eines meiner Lieblingsorte in London. Überall gibt es kleine Shops und Imbissbuden, wobei man dann leider bald feststellen muss, dass es überall dasselbe gibt. Als Abschluss des Tages haben wir uns noch Cocktails und Abendessen bei Duck&Waffle im Heron Tower gegönnt (auch hier kommt noch ein Post). Wieder einmal ein toller Tag in London!

IT – London. L’ultima volta a Londra mi sembrava talmente lontano che ho incluso nel mio viaggio un giorno a Londra prima di partire per Aarhus presto la mattina il giorno dopo. La prima fermata era il Honest Burger, che volevo provare già da tanto (il post pubblicherò presto). Con nuova energia siamo andati al Camden Market, che è uno dei miei luoghi preferiti a Londra. Il quartiere è vivace e allegro con tanti negozi e chioschi con cibo delizioso. Però dopo un po‘ si rende conto che quasi in tutti i negozi si vendono le stesse cose. Per concludere la giornata ci siamo goduto aperitivo e cena al Duck & Waffle sul Heron Tower, che é un posto fighissimo con una vista stupenda (anche qua segue un post). Di nuovo una bellissima giornata à Londra!

The Prince’s Treasury – 12 Princes street, Bath

EN – ThePrince’sTreasury. While strolling through Bath with my camera I spotted this cute little tea room. It is full of little treasures and definitely invites for a tea at five o’clock.

DE – ThePrince’sTreasury. DE – ThePrince’sTreasury. Während ich mit meiner Kamera durch Bath spaziert bin, habe ich diesen süßen kleinen Tea Room entdeckt. Von außen sieht er schon sehr verlockend aus und innen verbergen sich kleine Schätze mit Deko-Sachen. Ein netter Ort für den Fünf-Uhr-Tee.

IT – ThePrince’sTreasury. Mentre stavo passeggiando per Bath ho scoperto questo simpaticissimo e dolcissimo Tea Room che ti fa incuriosire ed invita a prendere il five o’clock tea. All’interno si presentano piccoli tesori di decorazione.

DE – RömischeBäder. Wie ich gestern schon angekündigt hatte, ist die Stadt hauptsächlich als Thermalstadt bekannt. Neben den öffentlichen Bädern ist ein Besuch der alten römischen Bädern ein Muss. Im Winter scheint die Kulisse noch beeindruckender sein, noch nebliger, wie ihr auf den letzten Bildern erkennen könnt.

Postcards from Bath

EN – Bath. I’ve just spent two wonderful days in this cute English city. The city is known for their old Romand baths, which I am going to show you tomorrow. Actually I planned to have a little spa moment, but for 26 pound for tow hours it was totally over prized. Normally England is grey, rainy and foggy. But I was so lucky to catch some sunshine, but it was really freezy, though. But English people simply don’t care and wear casually nothing. I hope you’ve enjoyed my impressions and come back tomorrow to see some pictures of the Roman baths.

Bekannt ist sie für ihre alten römischen Bäder. Ursprünglich wollte ich mir noch ein bisschen Wellness gönnen, aber die 26 Pfund für zwei Stunden waren mir dann doch zu viel. Und das Wetter … ich bin ja so ein Glückspilz, dass in dem fast immer grauen England zwei Tage lang die Sonne gescheint hat. Trotzdem war es für die Jahreszeit entsprechend kalt – aber das ist den Engländern ja prinzipiell egal und sie tragen ganz modern einfach nichts. Schaut morgen wieder vorbei, dann zeige ich euch Bilder der römischen Bäder. IT – Bath. Il mio viaggio continua, dopo due stupendi giorni passati nella pittoresca cittadina inglese Bath che è conosciuta per i suoi antichi bagni romani. Avevo programmato di godermi dei momenti di relax in uno dei vecchi bagni pubblici, ma 26 sterline per due ore mi sembravano troppo. Generalmente il tempo inglese è molto “grigio”, ma io ero fortunata e ho visto il sole per due giorni. Nonostante che facesse bello era molto freddo. Ma nessun problema per gli inglesi, si mettono semplicemente niente! Domani vi farò vedere le foto dei bagni romani.
