Clasico Argentino. This week has been all about Paris and I have one more restaurant recommendation in stock. I’ve spotted this Argentine place on Instagram a while ago (my camera roll is full with Instagram-Restaurant snapshots from all over the world) and was excited to go there. When meeting up with Ylenia at Ob-La-Di she also confirmed that it was totally worth going there.

This Argentinian chain Clasico Argentino has around 3-4 locations in the city. Fearing that the one in Marais Nord would be really crowded we reserved at the one close to Pigalle which was also directly by metro. Funnily it was one bar further to Buvette which I wanted to try for ages (at least I know where it is now). It’s been quite a while now since my travels to Argentina where I’ve tried the real empanadas for the first time. Empanadas is a stuffed bread/pastry filled with a variety of meat, cheese, fish or veggies. I had a really delicious memory about them in my head.

We went there with a couple of friends and the interior was already very nice. I feared that it was one more hip overprized place but that wasn’t the case at all at Clasico Argentino. The empanadas cost 4€ and they have great variations like ham & cheese, tuna, mais, chicken and much more. Moreover, you can order a 12-empanadas-set to share for 44€ or one for two people which I remember to be around 35€. For three people the 12 set is perfect. You only need to guess which one has which filling. My favourite were mais and chicken! In case you went there, let me know which ones were yours!

Enjoy!

Paris Part 2. 11am. On our second day in Paris I met up with Hana from Journey into la Ville Lumière. We actually wanted to go to O Coffeeshop but ran into a closed one in Rue Sentier. Instead we went to this cool coffe place called Matamata Coffee Shop (review coming up soon!!) in the 2nd arrondissement.

– lunch at Dog’s Café

1am. met up with my boyfriend at Dog’s Café for lunch. He’s been there a couple of times already but apparently the burger were a lot better at that time. As for me they were absolutely fine plus the lunch menu including a drink and coleslaw salad cost 12€.

Shirtdress. Here comes one more comfortable sightseeing look in Paris, which we shot at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in the Bois de Boulogne. I’ve actually wanted to shop a few new clothes for our trip but the time before was quite busy that I only ended up with this shirt dress from Jack Wills (which is still on sale). I combined it with my handcrafted leather sandals, which I’ve bought in Rome last spring. They were so worth their money (around 100€). The next time I’ll be in Rome I will definitely get some new ones made. Thinking about light pink or grey.

Enjoy your day!

Paris Part 1. Our last stop on our roadtrip was Paris. I’ve already told you that I won two nights in the City of Love and our voucher was about to expire. Therefore, it was the perfect timing to spend three days in Paris. We’ve stayed at the beautiful luxury hotel The Westin Paris – Vendôme, which couldn’t have been more central. Not to mention the great view onto Les Jardins des Tuileries (imagine the terrible Fête Foraine isn’t there)! I am so grateful for this amazing experience.

– œuf bénédict at Eggs&Co

This time I chose a few restaurant that I wanted to try. However there was not enough time for everything. One of the café’s I tested was the brand new Ob-La-Di (see the full recommendation here) and one more will be up here soon. It wasn’t really planned that we would go back to Eggs&Co one more time, but it is just one of our absolute favourite Paris brunch restaurants (see the full review here).

When in Paris I always have to stop by the cheapest pharmacy Citypharma (corner Rue du Four / Rue Bonaparte). It is no hotspot any longer and well known among tourist but still nothing has changed regarding the prices. Since my last visit in winter they’ve redesigned the ground floor. We’ve bought a couple of French beauty products from Nuxe, La Roche-Posay, Avène and Vichy, which are a lot less expensive than in Germany.

After our shopping tour we went back to our hotel to enjoy the great view. Actually I wanted to try out a new Korean restaurant close to Canal Saint-Martin but we were too tired to go there.

In the end we went to the Japanese neighbourhood in the 1st arrondissement, which was just around the corner. We’d already eaten at Kadoya once, which is a good address for dinner. The dishes are around 8-12€ and they also offer inexpensive dinner menus.

The disadvantage of such great hotels are that you don’t really get to experience them. Nonetheless we let the evening fade away on our terrace. Of course, I had to wait for the full hour until La Tour Eiffel started to sparkle – magical!

Blue lace dress. That view! When I entered our suite I remained truly speechless (maybe you’ve seen my being-absolutely-overexcited video on Snapchat). But let’s start from the beginning…

Remember Jason Mraz private concert at The Westin Grand München Arabellapark last summer? There was a giveaway going on during that night and I was so lucky to win two nights at The Westin Paris – Vendôme. There are a few hotels in Paris that have such a great view and we were so lucky to have been upgraded. Of course, we had to shoot from one of our little balconies. This time I brought some lovely dresses to Paris and this lace dress from Twinset, which I wore for their store opening here in Munich, was just perfect for it.

Hope you like the pictures and I wish you a wonderful weekend!
