With the sudden comeback of the winter my wish for delicious soups increased. And speaking of Asian noodle soups I can never say no. It’s been a while that I didn’t eat any ramen and my wanderlust for Japan is getting bigger and bigger. And if we’re going to Friedrichshain there must be a good reason. Ramen X Ramen it was!

Restaurants in Berlin
RAMEN X RAMEN
By entering Ramen X Ramen you’ll find small tables to the left and right. I always love to sit close to the window and watch people passing by. The restaurant extends backwards. In Japan, it’s normal that people go on their own to the restaurant and eat at the bar. This is also possible at Ramen X Ramen and there’s a longer one in the back.

FOOD & DRINKS
Let’s start with a delicious sencha tea. For a starter we had some Osatsukorokke sweet potato croquettes (3,50€). I’d also recommend Gomaae, spinach with sesame (3,00€) or Gyozas (4,00€), which unfortunately were sold out. Amandine chose the Shoyu Ramen (8,50€) soy sauce based broth with Chasu pork, leek, egg and nori, while I chose the Teriyaki Ramen (9,00€) on miso based broth chiken, leek and egg. To be honest, I usually combine Ramen with instant noodles but they were so good at Ramen x Ramen.

There is no sincerer love than the love for food…

RÉSUMÉ
We spent a couple of hours at Ramen x Ramen. If that isn’t a good sign. Despite the minimalistic interior I absolutely love the stylish and cozy flair. The staff was super friendly too. I will definitely come back.

It seems delicious!
