I do understand now why everyone keeps going back to Mallorca. The island is incredibly beautiful. A spontaneous idea turned reality. We flew to Mallorca for a long weekend over the Italian “Ferragosto” weekend. The last time I was on Mallorca was together with Weleda (already two years ago – crazy!). This time we stayed right in the heart of Palma close to the harbor. In fact, it couldn’t have been a better spot for eating, going out and getting everywhere.
Of course, I’ve brought you some great recommendations for a long weekend on Mallorca.

Spend a day at the beautiful BEACH CLUB GRAND FOLIES
The beautiful Beach Club Grand Folies is a truly hidden gem in marvellous Cala Llamp (Port d’Andratx). We booked some sunbeds beforehand, which I highly recommend. The spot was worth every penny and we’ve spent one of the best summer days there. Sea, a good glass of rosé and so many great laughs.
Beach Club Grand Folies also includes an ice cold sea salt pool (I preferred the sea, though) and an adjacent restaurant. Apart from the high booking fee of 50€ for the VIP sun-bed drinking and eating prices were absolutely human.

How to get there
If you don’t have a car I recommend to take a cap, e.g. from Palma it takes about 40 minutes and costs around 40-50€.
Have lunch at the MERCAT DE SANTA CATALINA
We stayed close to MERCAT DE SANTA CATALINA in Palma which was the perfect spot for grocery shopping. The market has such a great offer of fresh fruit, fish and meat. I could’ve stayed there for one week and just cook. One evening we bought some steak and shrimps and put them on the grill. The taste was just out of this world!
- By the way, have you already had scrumbled eggs with chorizo? OMG, so good!

Steak & tapas at PAXTI
Of course, one evening we had to head out for some Spanish tapas. Likewise on Ibiza it is quite hard to find great spots to eat them. PAXTI is one great dinner spot in Palma. They have a great variety of tapas and not to mention the delicious steak. I highly recommend to try the various croquetas. Especially the ones with squid are so delicious.

Walk through the beautiful old town of Mallorca
On our last day we took a long walking tour through the old town of Mallorca. Take long stroll along the beautiful esplanade along the port up to the famous Cathedral La Seu.
