Beauty Favorites. It’s been way too long since my last beauty post and I’ve been testing a lot of new products in the past months. Here’s a great selection of some that I utterly love and are perfect for a Christmas inspiration look.

for the face
  • LA BIOSTHETIQUE Belavance Glow Base – one of my favorite make up primers because it’s super light and refreshing on your face.
  • Smashbox Camera ready BB Cream concealer – I’ve been using this concealer since last Christmas and it’s still not empty. I am still totally happy with it and it makes me fresh in the morning.
  • Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF 40 – I read so many good things about this new foundation from Bobbi Brown that I was really curious to try it. It didn’t let me down – great consistency, I love the smell of it and doesn’t paste my face.
  • Alverde eyebrow pencil – one of my latest buys from the drugstore. I’ve read on a beauty blog recently that she always starts with draging her eyebrows first. So do I! Gives you a complete other look already in the morning. When I was younger I’ve never thought about my eyebrows and how it would change my face. Darker eyebrows make it a lot more edgy which I love.
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Luminizing Primer – I’ve never used it as a make up base because of it’s glittery consistency. I love to use it as a highlighter and creates you a great glimmer on your cheeks.
  • T.LeClerc Brun Caravage – I think it was another Bobbi Brown product which I came across which made me love cream eyeschadows so much. That one slightly darker. I love this one from T. LeClerc a lot too and it’s perfect for everyday.
  • LA BIOSTHETIQUE grey liquid eyeliner – I’ve been using black eyeliner since The Hills came out and I adored Lauren Conrads oh so perfect lid line. But have you every tried a grey one? I love it even better because it isn’t as strong as the black one and has a really elegant touch.
for the nails
  • LONDONTOWN Lady Duck – I gave normal polish another try. A friend of mine swears on OPI but I found some new magic. The ones from LONDONTOWN are indeed great. Lakur stands from their long-lasting line, which I absolutely love. Not only for their colors but also for the fact that they are vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free.
  • OPI Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Meteorite – who doesn’t love a little bit of glitter? I’m not a fan of glittery nailpolish, the ones that you won’t be able to take off again – if you understand what I mean. On the other hand I really love this one from OPI having small glitters that you can add on any color and will look great. Bring on that holiday season!

for the hair

However, your perfect Christmas look isn’t completed without the perfect hair styling. Irresistible Me is very known in the US for their hair extensions but a lot of people don’t know its great hair wand. The set contains eight different barrel attachments. That’s probably why it took me so long to test them all and to finally give you feedback. My favorite one right now is the 13/25mm one, which I also used for this style.

By the way, my arms always hurt so much after curling my hair that I came up with this technique leaning the curling wand (without burning your calf) on my head. Also, the curls are already in the right direction. Try it!

I can tell – the curling wand does magic! My curls usually last for 3-5 days and I got a lot of compliments of my friends. I usually brush my hair immediately after to give my hair back it’s natural structure. I don’t like it when the curls look too fake! Moreover, they’re supershiny without using any further product.

Note: you’ll probably need an adapter for Europe if you are going to order it from the US. Click here for more information!

Recently I came across and realized that I rarely wear any lipsticks (probably because my boyfriend doesn’t like it when I put on too much makeup). Goal for 2016 – more lipstick!

And last but not least here’s my holiday nail look – the OPI polish looks definitely great on any colour. Next time I’ll try it on nude!

I hope you liked this Christmas inspiration & have a wonderful day!

Glitter. To be honest – I’m still not really in Christmas mood! Also it hasn’t got really Christmassy up here on the blog because of the lots of work for uni. Therefore, it was all about time for a little Christmal look inspiration, which could work really well for a New Years Eve party too.

I was looking for some glitter boots for a while now and couldn’t wait to take these from Kennel & Schmenger out. Whereas I wore them for running errands too already and love to style them casually as well! I’ll show you that way in a different post. And why not wear boots on Christmas Eve? Every year I plan to wear pumps but in the end I’d always changed into warm boots for midnight mass. So this year I’m prepared!

Enjoy your weekend and come back for tomorrow’s Advent giveaway!

#UseYourAnd. I had this song in my head from The Hoosiers, which matches perfectly with my look. In my boyfriend eyes this is my robber pullover. Fact is that I wore it in a total black look the last time. Today it might be a bit more casual and is one of the recent looks I wore to university. My Aigner backpack has been my true companion since a couple of months now. Investing in a backpack is so worth it – not only for your health. One of my best friends has one of Stella McCartney’s backpacks which are great too.

Enough the blabber! I wanted to talk to you about something different today. You all probably know the Gillette Venus #UseYourAnd campaigns and I find their videos so inspiring and beautifully made. I am quite lucky because I know most of the times what I want, what I can and what I can’t. But there are so many women that aren’t as self-confident as I am. The campaign empowers to discover your limits and to be unique! Enjoy watching!

Winter-time. I realized that most of my outfit posts start with talking about the weather. Everybody loves to talk about it and it breaks the spell most of the times. However, let’s skip the weather part this time, because it’s obvious that it snowed this morning.

And now I become aware of the fact that first advent is coming up tomorrow already. Christmas is just around the corner! I’m pretty excited for tomorrow because a few friends are coming over for a little advent brunch. It’s quite hard to find a date that suits everybody! Of course, I am super late when it comes to our advent wreath and only bought four candles. Shame on me! I’ll fix that within this week!

Today I have a cozy winter look with you wearing warm UGG Australia gloves, which are perfect to keep warm hands during a Christmas stroll through the city. Moreover, they match with my Ted Baker ankle boots perfectly. My Benetton coat became definitely a classic piece in my wardrobe, which I’ve shown you a million times already. Perfect cut, great quality and still beautiful after five years.

Wish you a wonderful weekend & maybe a little advent surprise is waiting for you tomorrow!
