LAX Eatery. My dear friend Alessa has recently opened her LA inspired bistro called LAX Eatery in Schwabing. Breakfast and lunch all day long (for the slugabeds among you!), closed on Sundays, though. Luckily, it’s nearly around the corner of my place that’s why I had to go there immediately on the first weekend.

As I said the food is inspired by LA’s healthy lifestyle with Mexican influence. You’ll find only vegetarian dishes on the menu: egg burritos (highly recommendable, I’ll take them next time again), huevo rancheros on the menu but also chia pudding, avocado toast and delicious pancakes (try them!!). Moreover, their coffee is really good – in case you happen to pass only for a coffee to go! For the healthier ones among you LAX Eatery offer smoothies too.

Eataly in Munich. My aunt loves Eataly in Rome and kept telling me how good it was. Last Christmas she gave me a big Eataly-gift-box filled with Italian delicacies, which I liked a lot. You know that I am a huge food-lover . Therefore, I couldn’t wait that Eataly would open its doors here in Munich. Tomorrow, Wednesday 26th November, is the big day and the foodmarket in the Schrannenhalle is going to opens its doors to the public.

Eataly was founded by Oscar Farinetti in 2003 in Turin. Later on he opened more positions national-wide but also international spots like Dubai, Istanbul and will open in New York, London, LA and more in the next year. Firstly Eataly presents the Italian food culture on more than 4600 square meters. I am excited if it goes down well with the public, which I’m sure it will.

To be honest, I was sceptical of the prices at first. Most of the times such food halls are very overpriced. But I was assured that they always try too keep the same prices as in other Eataly markets. However it is a little bit more expensive than a normal supermarket but there you won’t find most of the products Eataly has.

I knew the pizzeria Rossopomodoro already from my time in Milan and loved their Pizza. That’s why I am more than happy that we finally got one in the city. It is indeed hard to find a good Italian pizza here and can highly recommend theirs! Maybe the new best pizza here in town……

Next to Rossopomodoro Eataly holds 16 restaurants und stalls, such as 9 show workshops. To cut things short – everything what the culinary heart desires.

Ice creams works all year round! I know that I’m raving over Eataly already but its food was just too good. Also, try the ice cream at the Gelateria Venchi – so good! In the underground level you’ll dive into a chocolate paradise. Maybe you’ll succeed in distracting the vendors in order to dive into the chocolate columns.

In the basement you’ll also find the cooking school Valcucine, where cooking and nutrition classes will be held. We took part of one of those courses and made delicious cappelletti – less difficult than I thought! I’ve been thinking of buying a pasta machine for longer now and I think I have to get one now. Making all kinds of super thin dough is so much easier. And homemade is always better!

All in all, it was such a lovely evening and thank you so much for the invite. Of course, I’ll come back soon!

Ted Baker. Let’s kick off the weekend with a new look! In a way I’m initiating Christmas season already. Surprisingly, I am already in Christmas mood very early this year. I think it’s because of all the beautiful Christmas decoration around the city which you’ll when getting out of work. Also, I catch myself looking for festive inspiration on Pinterest (find me under pinterest.com/thegoldenbun). Which brand would be better than Ted Baker to start the Christmas season with a pre-Christmas styling. I absolutely love their elegant and girly pieces!

Panther Grill&Bar. Being a breakfast & brunch lover we went to the close by PANTHER Grill & Bar. I’ve passed a few times before. Last time I wanted to make a reservation for our anniversary but they were already booked out. Grill & Bar? Doesn’t sound like they would serve breakfast. In fact, the PANTHER started to open their doors earlier on Sundays since a few months. Last weekend we finally made it to go there!

The breakfast prices are absolutely fine for such a lovely ambience. A classic breakfast menu starts with 7,50€. Moreover, every menu includes as much drip coffee you like and a pastry buffet. For drinks you can either choose a glass of prosecco or a fresh pressed orange juice. We went both for the PANTHER’s American with fluffy pancakes, fried eggs with bacon, baked beans and fresh fruits. Ten points for the food arrangement – a feast for the eyes. All in all I can highly recommend the PANTHER for breakfast. Definitely a great choice around in Schwabing!

New bag. A few months ago I started to look for a new designer bag. There are so many beautiful ones that you can’t really decide! To be honest, I’ve never thought I’d get a Céline trapeze. However I saw it so many times around and liked it even more. There are so many cool versions with different colors and when I spotted this special one I knew it needed to be mine (found it on Ebay and would never ever pay the full price for designer pieces). The mix is great for autumn and winter. Not sure about summer but it’s still a long way till then.

This combination is probably one of my favorite ones for university these days. The wool jacket from Asos was love at first sight too. A pair of Supergas, black jeans – the most comfortable weekday look!
