Hello from sunny Mallorca! The week was quite busy, that I only now manage to get back to you. The week just raced on. Last week I went to Munich again. Joop x Siemens invited me to a relaxed cooking evening with Nelson Müller. The evening was super nice and I was happy to meet new faces. I extended my stay in Munich by a few days to meet my closest friends. Because I was already so far South I added some days back home in South Tyrol. Tuesday evening I arrived super late in Berlin and had to repack my suitcase for the flight in the afternoon of the next day. In fact, I filmed the whole day a cooperation with Sheisido in the beautiful Gorki-Appartments in Berlin-Mitte. Into the taxi and straight to the airport after the shoot. I am looking forward to a relaxed week in Mallorca now. You will get pictures soon!
The white trousers are back. Somehow all my couples are too cold for the winter (pantyhose under trousers is not my thing). For everyday life I am always looking for pretty tops and found this striped body. I must confess that bodies simply fit better. As a colour accent I took my yellow Pinko bag out of its hibernation. It’s not that warm yet, but my Trenchs can also be fetched under the bed (my friend just can’t believe that you have to clean out his closet for winter / summer – yes, I have to clean it out again!).

It is unbelievable how much the architectural hotel industry has changed in South Tyrol. Everything towards the positive. South Tyrol can only boast such a variety of design, family, sports hotels and so on. The SILENA, the soulful hotel in Vals, Eisacktal, is a true design jewel among them. It was reopened in 2017 with a new design by the renowned South Tyrolean architecture studio noa*.
I had only heard good things about the hotel, so a visit was overdue. From time to time you should do something for your soul…
“Take time to do what makes your SOUL happy”
SILENA, the soulful hotel
Eisacktal, South Tyrol
The SILENA, the soulful hotel is a very special family-run hotel. The 4* Superior Hotel is situated in a prime location onto the Jochtal. Perfect for all sports lovers, whether in winter for skiing or in summer for hiking.
The design concept in SILENA is inspired by the Far Eastern travels of the hosts. Feng Shui furnishingsare based on Asian elements that run through the entire house: warm natural elements combined to create a clean interior. The SILENA is also located in a moorland area. The architects created a mix of elements from a moor with the Asian style. These can be found particularly in the newly designed rooms, in the spa area and in the reception.
A highlight of the new wellness hotel concept is not only the wonderful spa area, but also the newly designed tea library with Japanese tatami matson the floor and a large selection of literature. This invites you to spend a few relaxing hours in the morning or after the hike. Literary balm for the soul. Magdalena also holds readings here again and again.

SILENA, the soulful hotel THE SOULFUL ROOMS
In addition to the classic rooms, which are reminiscent of the old peasant style, the SILENA also offers its SOULFUL rooms. A highlight is her SOULFUL Literature Suite as well as the SOULFUL Rooftop Suite.
The design of the SOULFUL rooms conveys a sense of cosiness by following the elements of the moor. In contrast, there are light elements such as the four-poster bed with leather headboard and the airy fabric elements. On sunny days, the aluminium façade also reflects beautiful plays of light into the interior.
ROOM PRICES
SOULFUL Room from 140€ per person
SOULFUL Panorama Room from 154€ per person
Superior Room from 130€
SOULFUL Rooftop Suite from 234€ per person
The “soulful” concept is particularly noticeable in the relaxation room. The wellness worlds are divided into two floors. On the ground floor is the indoorand outdoor pool, steam bathand herbal sauna, as well as two relaxation areas. On the 5th floor there is the Adults-Only area with the panorama sauna on the roof terrace. I personally found this subdivision very pleasant. The different saunas also got special names… Herbaria, the herbal sauna or for example the Finnaria, the panorama sauna on the 5th floor.
For two days we just let our souls dangle and didn’t even leave the hotel. This was especially pleasant at the weekend, as many guests went skiing or walking during the day. We enjoyed different saunas in warm blankets. In the evening there were also two infusions – one in the steam bath and one in the panorama sauna.
A cosy reading corner that invites you to relax after the sauna sessions in the Finnaria.

And which design hotel has a popcorn machine? Not many. Great for a little snack in the afternoon.

Regional NATURE cuisine in the evening
The SILENA transfer its natural cuisine through regional, fair cuisine mixed with Asian flavours. In the evening a 5-course SOULFUL dinner is served. The focus will also be on your cheese-room, which invites you to try regional cheeses from the Unteregger farm cheese dairy after dinner.
Konnichiwa from Munich! On the occasion of an event I am in Munich for a few days. Perfect, to check out a few new restaurants I haven’t tried so far. You wished for more Munich tips again – here you go.
The founders of the Goldene Bar have opened a new Japanese restaurant not far away from the main bar: the wabi sabi SHIBUI – delicious ramen and fancy Japanese drinks. “Vicky Chen” is one of their signature cocktails (champagne cocktail with pomegranate – love!). And if the cocktail even says my name, I had to go there. Said done.
Japanese Restaurant Munich wabi sabi SHIBUI
Wabi Sabi Shibui (Wabi Shabi Sibui, Wasi Sabi Shibui – a real tongue twister. I just misspelled it so many times while writing this) is a new Japanese restaurant / cafe on Ludwigstraße (corner Oskar von Miller Ring) in Maxvorstadt. Minimalist Japanese style decorates the interior. A large counter with high chairs prominently dominates the room. The walls are in a beautiful minty tone – a true Instagram/hipster dream.
Indeed, Wabi-Sabi is a puristic Japanese furnishing concept that is closely linked to Zen Buddhism. The furnishing style is characterised by a combination of minimalism and imperfection, i.e. natural materials combined with raw masonry.
wabi sabi SHIBUI FOOD & DRINKS
The wabi sabi Shibui on Ludwigstraße offers different Japanese starters (between 4,50€ and 9,50€) to share. The focus here is on Japanese ramen – tofu / miso / tataki ramen (13.50 – 17.50€). I ordered a Tan Tan Men Ramen soup with roast beef, sesame, egg and fresh noodles (14,50€). In addition I tried a Japanese pomegranate tea (4,00€), which also came with fresh pomegranate seeds – drink and dessert in one.
I found the ramen soup very tasty. However, in my opinion there was some salt missing in the noodles and unfortunately there was little soup in relation to the meat. All in all, the taste was harmonious.
Japanese Restaurant Munich RÉSUMÉ
If you are looking for a cosy lunch spot during the week, the wabi sabi SHIBUI is just right for you. In the evening the restaurant offers a large selection of sophisticated cocktails.
Unfortunately the restaurant doesn’t open until 16:00 on Saturdays and is completely closed on Sundays.
Oh la la – new job? Some of you may have noticed that there has been a lot more content on my channels in the last three months. I travelled a lot and took you with me on Instagram. However, to keep up this regularity and fill this blog with content, a lot of organization and planning needs to be done. So glad I have my co-authors as well who support me.
My days as a freelancer are coming slowly to an end again and I am going to be permanently employed again. As much as I like it as a freelancer, the more I enjoyed the benefits of a secure income and the best – paid holidays! I’ll soon tell you which career path I’m going to take. One thing is for sure – I will stay in Berlin, have found a job in Mitte (hello 5 minutes to get to work!) and the anticipation is great.
I am so looking forward that spring is finally showing up. Last week it was super sunny in Berlin and actually enjoyable again. I’ve worn this pink Oh La La sweater combined with my favorite slacks model from H&M (got them in black and beige too) and my pink Furla metropolis. Just an easy everyday look.

My skin is naturally very dry and has slightly reddened areas. I have told you about it several times. Last year I was very happy with my day care and used it for over a year. I didn’t really notice any difference between summer and winter, which is good for me. Because who wants to change their care every season? Not me.
Here is an extended article on my skincare routine from last year.
All time favorite! Bioderma Sensibio Gel moussant, 200 ml – 13,99€ (7,00€ / 100 ml)here
All time favorite! Bioderma – Sensibio H2O micellar water for sensitive skin, 500 ml – 16,08€ (3,20€ / 100ml) here
Day and night care from 2018
Superfruit – Skin Enforcement Daycreme, 50ml – 38,49€(76,98 € / 100 ml)here and here
Superfruit – Skin Enforcement Nightcreme, 50ml – 67,00€ (129,98 € / 100 ml UVP 67,00 €) here
for daily in the office Beauté Pacifique Superfruit Hydration Face Mist, 50ml – 28,50€ (57,00€ /100 ml)here
What now works well for me: separate day and night care. I noticed the difference and my skin felt beautifully regenerated the next day. No sign of dryness!
I was really satisfied with the products from Beauté Pacifique in the Superfruit line. At first I had to get used to the smell of the night care, but the effect made up for everything. I bought the products about every three months.
But why EASY if possible COMPLICATED?
I didn’t change much in the skin cleansing area, but added one – two new routines. 1-2 times a week I try on a face peeling, an activated carbon mask for the nose area and a Korean face mask.
The new cleansing products
Still the two products from Bioderma. First the micellar water and then the gel.
I recommend Bioderma’s products to everyone (no, unfortunately, I still don’t get paid by Bioderma for a cooperation). I have also tested cheaper alternatives from the drugstore, for example from Garnier. But the best result was always delivered by Bioderma’s Sensibio H2O range.
What’s completely new for me is the use of a toner / tonic facial toner. Toners are supposed to return the necessary moisture to the skin after cleansing and also remove limescale residues from the skin. I’ve had a Hydrabio line toner before that dried out a bit. Somehow I didn’t really get the toner routine integrated into my care routine. I am super satisfied withthe Sensibio Tonic facial toner. Apply it on my washable cotton pads and finish my cleaning. Then I apply the day care.
I usually order the Bioderma products in the largest size and fill them into smaller pump and spray bottles for the bathroom cabinet or on the road. So I use the products much more sparingly.
In Paris I loved the cheapest pharmacy of the city in the 6th arrondissement. Apparently there is also one on the Ku’damm in Berlin. Unfortunately I did not find a cheap pharmacy in Munich and therefore always ordered online.
My wish at this point would be a sustainable or plastic free alternative. If you have a tip, I’d be happy to give it to you.
The new day and night care
I changed my skin care. La Mer sent me the La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Cream (unfortunately I used it too lavishly). The “280€-60ml-Wunderpflege” has disappeared in no time on my skin. It did well, but wasn’t enough care for me in autumn.
La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Cream 466,67€ / 100 ml hier
Basically I think the product is very good. But I hardly noticed any difference between the effect and my previous Beauté Pacifique care. Let’s leave the horrendous price aside.
lavera Hydro Effect Serum Anti-Pollution Complex, 9,65€ (EUR 32,17€ /100 ml)hier
I find the serum itself relatively good for its price-performance ratio. I haven’t used a serum yet, so I can’t really say if it makes a difference that much.
lavera Hydro Effect Day Cream, Alge, 50 ml 11,95€ (23,90 € / 100 ml) hier
Beautiful light cream, but unfortunately too little rich for me
lavera Night Cream Re- Energizing Sleeping Cream, 50 ml 9,55€ (19,10 € /100 ml) hier
Great cream for its price-performance ratio, which I tolerate very well.
I have heard a lot of good things about Lavera products on various natural cosmetics blogs/channels. Unfortunately I am not 100% satisfied with the care above. The daily products (completely new for me the use of a serum) always feel great for the first ten minutes. But I still feel the whole day after creaming or freshening up with my facial toner. For this reason, I still use an oil afterwards (always bought again and currently I use the Huile Prodigieuse von Nuxe).
My miracle cure for dry lips
The miracle cure for dry lips
I got this tip from a dermatologist friend – the Alfasons Repair Creme. The cream is actually a hand cream, but I have been using it for 1.5 years as lip care for the evening. Really the only one that keeps my lips dry.
I hope you enjoyed this update to my current beauty routine. I will try a new beauty line soon and will be happy to keep you up to date. I can also do a cosmetic update for you.
