Happy weekend! The grey autumn/winter has officially arrived to Berlin. And this is the moment where you’ll have to add a bit of color pop to your wardrobe. When it comes to my go-to daily dresses I am so lucky that I found one brand, which has every season a lovely choice for me. This More and More chiffon dress can be styled up in so many ways although it has a colorful pattern. And who is as excited as I am that the bootie season is back? I can finally pull out the high heels in my daily life without feeling completely overdressed.

The autumn season in South Tyrol is for me the most beautiful season of the year. Nature shows its best colours and the temperatures are wonderful. In South Tyrol there are beautiful customs and traditions all year round. My favourite custom is “Törggelen” in autumn. A weekend is planned every year.
törg-ge-len /tö́rggelen/
The term Törggelen comes from the Latin “torquere”, which means “to press wine”. In fact, the traditional Törggelen always takes place after the grape harvest. According to custom, the helpers of the grape harvest met for a common “Marend” (German snack) with South Tyrolean specialities. The custom has proven itself to this day.
Whereto best to goTÖRGGELEN?
I’ve been going every year for a few years now. But even as a local I am overtaxed every year, in which buschenschank we should go. The custom is particularly popular in Eisacktal, as well as in Überetsch. Both I can highly recommend to you. The panorama of the Eisack Valley is a dream. I love the view into the distance to the mountains.
Tip: An excursion to the Eisack valley can be combined with a visit to the Säben monastery or a short detour to Klausen.
In Überetsch it is a bit flatter, but just as beautiful in the middle of the vineyards. The proximity to the old town of Bolzano makes it particularly suitable for a subsequent walk.
Tip: In the Überetscher area you can combine it with some cellar visits. Especially beautiful are the St. Michael Eppan, Manincor and Alois Lageder wineries. Or you can do a hike through the Rastenbachklamm gorge to the Kalterer See.

Our Törggele day usually begins with a hike to the Buschenschank. Here, one only has to pay attention that one does not start too late at noon, as it quickly gets dark in autumn. In the Eisacktal, the sun sets already around 17:00-17:30 o’clock.
Also this year we had a wonderful Törggelen in South Tyrol. The weather was fantastic.
Another year we walked from Klausen via Kastanienweg up to the Larmhof in Villanders, which I can highly recommend to you. But then you would have to put the cars directly to the Buschenschank or organize a shuttle.
A tip for you: the best thing to do is to check out Sentres, which hike leads to/from/to your guesthouse. The South Tyrolean Outdoor Activities website is especially helpful. So you can plan your walk easily.
The afternoon was so beautiful that we could enjoy the last rays of sunshine on the terrace of the Obermoserhof with a South Tyrolean Marend with bacon, homemade cheese and wine.
What isst you TÖRGGELEN?
Traditionally South Tyrolean home cooking is served. A classic Törggele menu consists of a Gerschtsuppe, Schlutzkrapfen or a Knödeltris as a starter. The main course consists of a slaughter plate with sauerkraut, surf meat, ripples, sausage and blood sausage. The sweet finish is craps and of course roasted chestnuts. The digestive liquor at the end is usually served by the host himself. In many Törggele bars there is also musical accompaniment on the accordion. Törggelen is “a Gaudi” every year.

Business ready! With the days getting colder I’m sticking more and more to my relaxed business looks. A pair of beige/black/blue slacks is definitely a must. A lovely blue striped blouse is the perfect match. I absolutely love this special style from More & More with balloon sleeves. Throughout the day I love to style it down with a cool leather jacket. Have I already mentioned that this is my absolute favorite one? The cut, material and color is just perfect.
Happy Monday! I’ve had such a great weekend with friends in London. I’d completely forgotten how incredibly beautiful the city is. The weather on Saturday was so beautiful. As a matter of fact, we rented some bikes and drove through Hyde Park, strolled through Chelsea and had such a fun night out. I will share some impressions within the week.
Here’s a forgotten interior post I wanted to share with you already a while ago. I was looking for a cool bar cart for longer. I had such a cool one at my old place in Munich. Since my friend Conny was so lucky to get her vintage bar cart on ebay Kleinanzeigen second hand I tried my luck. A great tip is to extend your location. In fact, I set my search in whole Germany. Some of the sellers may also ship. I know, you don’t always have the guaranty that the offer is real. But being a native digital shopper I’ve never feared that. At some point I wasn’t sure if the package would ever reach me. In the end, it got lost somewhere at the office.
Bar carts are definitely still trending! Not only are bar carts the perfect place to store all your liquor but also great for adding some decoration. For example, if you don’t have a nicely looking coffee table you can place all your lovely coffee table books there. If you use it the classic way like a bar the colder season is coming. Perfect time to show off your cocktail mixing skills and to enjoy some good drinks with friends. Cheers!
