Trumpf oder Kritisch
Trumpf oder Kritisch is a newly opened pub with some cool decoration. Copper tubes with lights installed and antlers are hanging from the ceiling. The rest of the restaurant is filled with heavy wooden tables. One more detail which I like on the tables are the engravures of card motives. You can meet for a drink, or to eat for the hungry ones but also to play card games. As a matter of fact, you can play Watten, which is a Tyrolean card game that they also play a lot where I come from. A couple of groups where sitting next to us playing. I’m really bad at watten, which is why we decided to have some food.
Trumpf oder Kritisch EATING & DRINKS
Menus in traditional Bavarian restaurants are usually super long. This restaurant has manageable menu with typical dishes. You’ll find homemade Obazda, a cheese platter or bread dumplings with mushrooms. I chose the roast pork with bread and potatoe dumplings and red cabbage. Irina and Conny went for the lake trout with savoy cabbage and potatoes from the daily dishes. On the other hand the drinking card is way longer. Aperitifs cost 6,80€. Drinking prices are super high in Munich.
Unfortunately, I was a little bit disappointed of the food. My roast pork was delicious but the side dishes were good. I absolutely love red cabbage but it was chopped too roughly for my taste. The lake trout was nicely presented on the table but it was nothing special too. For fish and meat the prices are absolutely fine but it didn’t knock our socks off.

The food looks amazing but I hate with the sides are no good. It takes away from the experience.
