Towards the end of the year I still don’t know whether 2018 was a good year or not. On the one hand, I’ve learned so much this year. On the other hand, there were certain things that have blocked me all year round.
On behalf of my travels I can look back on wonderful memories. Compared to 2017 I traveled 80% privately in 2018. I refused a lot of press trips, because every day of my holiday was worth a lot, which I wanted to spend with friends and family (the limited number of vacation days is clearly a downside of working full-time). The trips in the second half of the year were relatively spontaneous and were mostly shorter week-end trips. Finally, I was able to relax on our Marrakesh trip, which really felt like a real vacation.
IBIZA

In July I flew with my girl friends from home to Ibiza. We had such a fun time on the island. Ibiza has definitely enchanted us in any case and I want to go back next summer to discover more of it.
LAKE GARDA
Italy

A weekend on Lake Garda is always a must (mainly to visit my dad). Unfortunately, I only managed to fly down for a long weekend this year, which was clearly too short. Hopefully, there will be more times at Lago di Garda next year.
MALLORCA

The weekend trip to Mallorca came relatively spontaneously. The best weekend of the year! It was all so perfect and calls for another weekend next year.
THE BALTIC SEA
Germany

My co author Irina flew to the Baltic Sea in September and visited the ARBOREA Marina Resort Neustadt. Unfortunately, I have not made it to the North or Baltic Sea all summer long. And it’s only a three hours drive from Berlin.

I haven’t been to London in ages. Finally, I managed to visit close university friends and combine it with a little birthday trip. The weekend was amazing.
SOUTH TYROL

A weekend in South Tyrol in autumn is always a must. Especially because we hold my annual birthday celebrations there (yes I love to celebrate that). In autumn South Tyroleans celebrate the special “Törggelen”, which comes close to Thanksgiving celebrations. You can read more about it here!
MUNICH

Since leaving Munich for good I haven’t really visited it much this year. A close friend of mine celebrated her birthday and of course I would drive down for that. The weekend was beautiful – a late afternoon at Starnbergersee, a dinner at my favorite Indian place in Munich and a walk in the English Garden.

MARRAKECH

My girl friends and I had some spare holiday left and decided to fly to a warm destination once again. Marrakesh was just right – the distance and the temperatures. The new posts are still in progress, so I’m not going to spoil you with new pictures. Marrakech was as per usual a dream. Look forward to the new posts and tips!
TEGERNSEE

Right now I’m writing from the beautiful DAS TEGERNSEE at Tegernsee. I have another two weeks of holidays, which are perfect for two days of relaxation in the beautiful wellness area. More pictures will follow.
