Schillerkiez love. I’m sorry I have to say this now – it’s getting colder. Summer is over. It was there, it was very beautiful. After such an eventful summer I’m always looking forward to the colder season. To come down and enjoy staying in cafés and restaurants. And that’s exactly what you can do so well in hip Schillerkiez in Neukölln. Unfortunately, this is no longer on my way home from my old place under Tempelhof. But it will be the highest railway again, that I will go there again.
Together with Nadine I was invited for a cosy evening to the GORDON restaurant & records. The concept of record shop and restaurant sounds interesting for the first time.

GORDON
The owners Nir and Doron brought their love of music from their hometown of Tel Aviv, where they became famous through a DJ rooftop series on Gordon Street. They brought not only their 2007 founded record label Legotek from Isreal to Berlin, but also modern interpretations of their beloved local cuisine. For their “GORDON” they didn’t choose a more comfortable place in the hip Schillerkiez. The restaurant was furnished and designed by them. Accordingly, a lot of heart and soul was put into the restaurant, which is worth seeing. It doesn’t get boring here, the best time to visit her is a Friday DJ session.

FOOD & DRINKS
Together with Nadine we tried the Gordon Tasting Menu. Our hunger was not too big, so we shared only one tasting menu. I drank a delicious cocktail called “Green Peace” consisting of gin, chartreuse, cucumber, coriander, parsley and more. The bartender was so nice that at the end he wrote me a little note with the cocktail recipe.
- Very recommended is the All You Can Eat Brunch for 9,90€ (food only) or 15€ together with drinks and dessert.

RÉSUMÉ
We found the ambience very beautiful and cozy. The service was super friendly. Unfortunately I don’t know if they still offer the tasting menu. I found the variations creative, but also not quite cheap.
During the week it was pleasant, but well attended. A visit to brunch is now definitely on the list.
