Here I am again! You didn’t get any new looks for a long time here on the blog. Winter is coming sooner than I thought, so I’ll provide you with a round of autumn looks. My wardrobe also needs an update. I can’t see half of my pieces anymore. My maxi cardigans and I have a little love-hate relationship. There is probably no more comfortable garment for the transition period. In winter, however, I find the long cardigans especially annoying to wear under coats or down jackets. I am simply not a fan of onion looks. Luckily, the sub-zero temperatures are not yet there (and relatively rare in Berlin), so you can also wear an airier blouse underneath.

After my beauty disaster last year, I am happy to have my skin care well under control. Looking back on the past year, it was especially the serums that did it to me.
I couldn’t deny any longer that I love serums…
Facial serums are particularly popular for their high concentration. At a young age you hardly think about it. As I’m approaching 30, I’ve been gripped by it and I always think that one or the other product could do me more harm in my beauty routine. My skin is always very good except for a few PMS-related impurities. For some months now, I have noticed the fineness of the pores and suppleness, especially in the morning.
My SERUM FAVORITESso far
When I bought the products I blindly trusted my beauty blogger colleagues and reviews. Currently I use five products alternately. The notorious products of The Ordinary can be easily ordered at Douglas. I always order the Paula’s Choice products directly on the site (every now and then there are discount codes, which are definitely worthwhile if you order several times a year like me).
The introduction to serum INgredients
… an oily serum with antioxidants and vitamin C for anti-aging, which reduces fine lines and sun damage
… Retinol has a stronger effect against anti-aging
… “low-molecular” hyaluronic acid for natural elasticity and firmness of the skin
My current products in use couldn’t be more different, so it is also difficult to choose a favourite. The Ordinary’s serum is super fluid and light, which is why I initially found it best to apply. Before that I had also used the Skin Recovery Serum from Paula’s Choice, which is now in daily use again in autumn due to its oily and firmer consistency. I also like the Vinoperfect Serum from Caudalie, which I find great because of its fragrance and lotion-like consistency. It is also supposed to reduce pigment spots. The Night Repair Serum by Estée Lauder is probably the most expensive one in the group, which I only use under the eyes. It is super rich and, with its high concentration, is intended for more mature skin.

The Salzburgerland is a wonderful holiday region with a large number of beautiful wellness and boutique hotels. A lot has happened here in the last few years. I still remember very well my first visit four years ago. Half a year later we spent the night in the newly opened PURADIES thanks to a booking error. Even then I was very impressed by the unique hotel design. In the meantime the hotel has received many entries in renowned architecture and interior magazines. The extraordinary hotel bar with 1000m3 oak wood processed, clearly contributed a lot to this.
Three years later, we are lying in one of the exclusive suites and literally floating on cloud 7.

PURADIES Strong> Cloud 7 Suite
On 50 square meters the >strong> suite “Wolke 7” offers everything you need for a romantic weekend. Everything, so that one does not have to leave the suite at all. The suite on the top floor of the dream quarter is characterised by high wooden ceilings, from which discreet pendant lights illuminate the bed area. I like a clean, cosy alpine look.
Private Spa on 80m2
Our Private Spa was wonderful for relaxing tired legs after skiing. Unfortunately I have to reconsider the size of the bathtub for my future house. A partner bathtub is the perfect size to relax for two.
Besides the wet pleasure, the suite also offers a Finnish sauna. Timed in the morning and expect a preheated sauna on your return – wonderful. The resting time after the sauna can be wonderfully spent with a cup of tea from the small tea kitchen in the cooler on the spacious terrace. Look into the distance at the mountains and enjoy the moment. Wrapped up in a bathrobe back to bed. One would like best to just lie there. Room service would be one option. But we freshen up again in order to spend a comfortable dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Regional cuisine with ingredients from our own organic farm
Everything here is exactly the same as last time. The staff is polite and very polite. The PURADIES offers a four-course menu every evening with selected organic ingredients from the region. The dishes are creatively prepared, both visually and in terms of taste. Every dinner was a pleasure.
2 hoods Restaurant ESS:ENZ in the Embachalm in the chalet village
Next to the main wing of the PURADIES is the small chalet village. Among other things there is also the beloved 2 toques restaurant ESS:ENZ. From Wednesday to Sunday special dinners with à la carte dishes are served here.

The bathhouse “INNER CENTER”
The bathhouse “Innere Mitte” is as beautiful as I experienced it for the first time some years ago. You will find the wellness area on two levels. In the upper relaxation room you can enjoy the last hours of the day with sunset behind the mountains. In the lower area there are the four panorama saunas and experience showers.

The PURADIES remains for me one of the most beautiful design and wellness hotels in the Salzburger Land. Many thanks for the unforgettable stay.
After a longer break I’m finally back here on the blog. Summer is finally here. Next week I will finally go on the long awaited vacation. I have a nice week of home vacation in South Tyrol planned, followed by a week of sea vacation at the Côte d’Azur. I am so looking forward to staying home for a whole week since visiting last time for Christmas. I’m definitely going to post lots of impressions from my beautiful home region.
Today there is an airy office summer look. Unfortunately I could not find this beautiful blouse from & other stories online. But you can still find it in the stores. I combine it with a simple white fabric pant with crease from Mango, which is super comfortable for the office. And then there are classic espadrilles with wedge heels, which are one of my favourite summer shoes.

How wonderful that the borders with Austria are to be reopened on 15 June. From 29 June onwards, the hotels will also be allowed to open again. A time out in the mountains would definitely do me a lot of good again – walking sore legs, enjoying the “worked out” view and then relaxing in a beautiful sauna. How wonderful.
Meanwhile, it is certainly already flourishing and thriving in the Salzburger Land. I have been to the holiday region three times in winter and autumn. Our shortest visit was already a few months ago. We were lucky that we were able to spend a few days in the beautiful mountain region before the lock-down. For this reason there is still some snow on the mountains and enough to “push down” the slopes as we say so beautifully in the South Tyrolean dialect. I was also following in the footsteps of my brother, who had worked the winter preseason at the Holzhotel Forsthofalm.
The Four Stars Superior Hotel Forsthofalm scores points not only because of its isolated location at 1050 meters, but also because of its ecological commitment. It belongs to the sustainable and ecological hotels in Austria. In my opinion, the wooden hotel has managed very well to create a all-round concept for sustainability and “wellbeing”. The hotel also has its own water, energy and waste disposal concept. In the kitchen, regional and local organic products are used. The hotel’s own mountain herbs are also used for relaxation in the wellness area.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air for the first time after your arrival!
The pleasure of a winter holiday withSKI IN – SKI OUT
For all future skiing holidays, I have been spoiled too much in the Forsthofalm. It is incredibly comfortable to be able to ski almost directly from the piste to the ski cellar. The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn is right on the doorstep. In fact, it felt like getting out of bed and onto the piste.
You wouldn’t have to worry about the ski tickets in advance either, because most hotels in the region can issue them directly at the hotel.
After a sporty day of skiing, you are expected to enjoy a sundowner at the Forsthofalm. A small “Jausen” (snack) is a good way to recharge your batteries. Afterwards – put on your bathrobe. Off to the SKY SPA or let yourself be pampered with a massage in the SPAnorama!
Recommendation! for extra fortification or lunch, try the Club Sandwich. That was so good!
Forsthofalm SKY SPA
The modern wellness area SKY SPA and SPAnorama is located on the last floor of the house. My highlight was the relaxation room, “the nest”. In the lower area you will find a cosy fireplace lounge, the spacious fitness room with all-round glazing. I especially enjoyed the bio-herbal sauna, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna and brine steam bath. After some sauna sessions I always retired to “The Nest”. The generous window areas increased the feeling of space and brought the mountain landscape even closer. We completely forgot the time. Switch off. Rest. The sun set behind the mountains.

Forsthofalm Rainbow cuisine – regional and local
The Forsthofalm serves a varied and aromatic gourmet cuisine. In the evening, a typical Austrian dish is always offered. Vegetarians and vegans are of course also considered. A dish for these is always on the menu and there is plenty of choice at the buffet for substitute products.

After a sporty day a delicious evening menu is just the right thing. However, I did not want to overeat every evening, so I always chose the lighter fish variant.
Cozy lounge area next to the bar
We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Forsthofalm. Many thanks to the Widauer family for the invitation!
Going on a skiing holiday by train? Never. How uncomplicated and comfortable it can be. The Hotel Forsthofalm offers a free shuttle service from the train station, which already awaited us at the station. With the Europe-Special fare we then arrived comfortably for about 40€ per trip. We had to change trains twice, but then we were faster than by car. We sent a big suitcase in advance with the luggage service of the Deutsche Bahn, which arrived punctually on the day of arrival.
