EN – JaimieJacobs. Chiara can design her own shoes and now even we can do it! Jaimie Jacobs is a small start-up from Munich making women happier. And could you believe that the team consists mainly of men?
// designing. You can design your dream pair of shoes from A to Z, choosing heel height, kind of leather and so on. There is a great selection so I am sure you’ll find what you want. But for me it was even harder to choose. I was looking for the perfect pair of red heels for so long and pepped them up with a brown croco optic leather – and here they are my first Jaimie Jacobs.
// packaging. They are indeed made „with love.“ and they started to rethink the way of handling shoe boxes. Theirs are like folders, which you can arrange on your shoe shelf. Moreover, they care about your comfort and you’ll get some gel pads with your shoes – very kind!
// production/delivery. The shoes are produced in China, but don’t worry they’re not a mass production. The leather is imported from Spain and Italy. Every shoe is handmade by specialists and they are the most paid in the region. Given that there are only a few specialized people they really depend and every single one. Otherwise the production will be interrupted. Normally, shipping takes about 2 weeks.

DE – JaimieJacobs. Was eine Chiara schon länger macht, können wir nun auch – Schuhe selbst designen! Und das auch noch online! Jaimie Jacobs ist ein kleines Start-Up Unternehmen aus München, das mit Passion für Schuhe uns Frauen glücklich machen wollen. Wer hätte gedacht, dass das Gründerteam nur aus Männer besteht.
// Entwerfen. Den Schuh selbst kann man von A bis Z selbst mit einem einfachen Generator entwerfen. Absatzhöhe, Form der Spitze, Leder innen, Leder außen, Plateau-Höhe und vieles mehr. Neu dazu gekommen sind jetzt auch noch ein paar Applikationen wie Nieten und süße Schleifchen. Aber das macht es einem nicht leicht, sich für ein Paar zu entscheiden. Für mich war es aber klar, dass ich schon so lange nach dem perfekten roten Pump gesucht habe. Aufgepeppt habe ich sie noch durch das braune Glattleder in Krokooptik auf Plateau und Absatz – et voilà meine ersten Jaimie Jacobs.
// Verpackung. Und sie sind in der Tat „with love.“ gemacht. Schuhkartone schmeisst man sonst immer gleich weg, Jaimie Jacobs hat sie in Ordner umgewandelt. Mit dem passenden Aufkleber, kann man seine Jaimie Jacobs kennzeichnen und sammeln. Hinzukommen noch vier Einlagsohlen, zwei für die Fußsohle vorne und zwei für die Ferse – sehr aufmerksam!
// Produktion/Versand. Die Schuhe werden in China hergestellt, das zunächst abschreckend für den einen oder anderen wirken mag. Aber die Materialien sind aus edelstem Leder, das aus Spanien und Italien importiert wird. Die Schuhmacher sind ein kleines Team und sind am besten bezahlt in der Region. Jaimie Jacobs ist auf jeden angewiesen und wenn einer mal abspringt, legt das die ganze Produktion lahm. Die Lieferzeit beträgt ungefähr 2 Wochen.
