January recap. Times flies so quickly that I had to check my calendar to see what I’ve done last month. After the winter holidays back home I returned to Munich. It started snowing and snowing. Being super cold I was finally able to ice skate on the Nymphenburger Kanal, which had not been frozen for years. Moreover, I sold a lot of stuff on the flea market. Getting rid of no longer used pieces feels always so good. The weekend after I drove to Laax for a lovely ski weekend. So much snow and great food awaited us. Berlin Fashion Week was on the agenda next. Well, let’s say Food Week for me. Fashion week stress? No way! I took it slowly this time and met up with friends and acquaintances. Spending some time in Berlin was great. I flew back to Berlin with Coca Cola again the next Friday and stayed the whole weekend again. Last but not least I was invited to a kick-off event from the beauty brand Bioré in Munich, whereof I’ll tell you more soon! And yes, travel wise it won’t be boring. Read more below.

… about working freelance and wherefrom I want to work in near future. As you know I finished my master in October and started working full time on the blog (and on my career as a wedding photographer). Actually I wanted to start working in the architecture sector again by the beginning of the year. However, life always turns out differently than you expect it. The more time I put into the blog the more offers and projects came along. Therefore, life’s good right now. But I’ll probably move my base back home to Bolzano for a couple of months (of course, I’ll head back to Munich all the time). Especially in spring it is so beautiful there. Moreover, I’ll be able to do a lot of research work about South Tyrol here, which I haven’t done for years. The main reason is also that I’ll be travelling quite a bit; thus paying a high rent in Munich is a waste of money. As a matter of fact, I’d rather spent my money on travels and new experiences. Well, I’m curious what the (digital) nomad life will bring. What’s your opinion about it?

On the flea market you do find really great pieces! You just need to look for them. When I stood on the flea market I realised that it would be time for a little project, i.e. buying second hand for six months or else. In fact, I bought a lovely blazer from the neighbouring stall, which I was wearing nonstop these past weeks. You could see it in my Coca Cola post. There wasn’t much more time for shopping in January. Oh yes, I bought some Moon Boots as soon as the snow came. Unfortunately they were a size too small and I resold them. Luckily, I found them again on sale but I guess they weren’t on stock again and I’m still waiting for them.

I started reading the German book Faste Schwitze Liebe (Fast, sweat, love) from Andrea Alton – really nice bed lecture. Moreover, friends of mine got me the Jerusalem cookbook, wherefrom I started picking my favourite recipes. The cookbook is so nicely made!

Monthly favorites Seen
Movie Logo

I guess I’ve finally seen all Matthias Schweighöfer movies. The last one I saw was Rubbeldiekatz. Whenever I was in Munich I had to work super late, which didn’t leave much time to watch any movies. Nonetheless, I still love to watch Jon Olsson’s daily vlogs and also Janni Déler and Aimee Songs videos. Jacie from Damsel in Dior films funny vids some time too.

Monthly favorites Planned – Travel

… and lastly my travel plans! *drum rolls* It’s not a 100% official but let’s say 80%. I’ll travel to Japan really soon! In fact, I’d actually planned to travel there with Bastian but now I’ll be there sooner than thought. Sushi-heaven here I come!

IVY & OAK Coat. Greetings from Bozen! I drove home to South Tyrol for the weekend. Still, I can’t believe why there is now snow. Apparently, the snow wave rolled by above from South Tyrol. In contrast, we had so much snow in Laax. In fact, it’s a hefty season for the South Tyrolean ski companies. Nonetheless I’ll hit the slopes again today. The artificial snow isn’t so bad. I forgot to tell you how glad I was that you liked my last entry of my holidays in Southtyrol so much. I’ll plan a huge Bolzano Guide now! On Tuesday I will drive to my brother to Vienna. Seemingly it has snowed a lot there. I’m super excited to spend a couple of days in Vienna (however I didn’t plan to visit when it’s so cold).

Right now it is indeed the best season to get yourself a new wintercoat. I’ve recently browsed through the last sale offers and was astonished by the big choice. Usually all the good items are immediately gone. In my last Thursday Picks I’ve showed you this beautiful marine blue coat from IVY & OAK. So in love with it! The design is super elegant and I’ve been looking for a wrap model for a long time. We shot the pictures at the Hofgarten in Munich on Wednesday and it was super mild (this is why I didn’t wear more underneath). You may have seen this H&M blouse several times on Social Media which as a matter of fact was sold out immediately. Luckily, I can always rely on the H&M store in Bolzano, which has a couple of sold out pieces still left. Likewise with this blouse, which had a little defect but nothing you’d see. Overall, it’s a love-hate relationship with trumpet sleeves. Did you try to eat while wearing some? It’s so annyoing. Moreover, imagine someone like me who will always spill hisself with food. Perfect combination.

I wish you a wonderful weekend. You’ll hear from me on Monday again!

Mercosy | Korean restaurant in Berlin

Korean food in Berlin. And there comes the next recommendation for Berlin. I’d saved too many great places ( – yes, I’m part of the Yelp Elite for three years now). I haven’t had Korean food for quite a while and had discovered the lovely some time ago on Instagram. Denise and Denise came along, which was the perfect company for a cosy dinner.

Mercosy

Mercosy is a small restaurant, with only a few tables inside close to Kottbusser Tor. They specialised in serving only bibimbaps and various Korean starters. If you’ve never tried bibimbap, it is a rice bowl with vegetables, egg, hot pepper sauce and optionally meat. Bibim means ‘to mix it up’ allowing the full taste to develop.

Mercosy Food & Drinks

However, if you’re expecting real authentic Korean food you’re not really in the right place. Don’t get me wrong because the food was good. Mercosy offers creative bibimbap combinations but they’re different than the classic ones. For example I took the Bibimbap Winter Style with duck, cranberries and vegetables (8,50). The girls went for a classic version with Pulled Chicked (7,50€). Moreover, you can choose whether to get it in a normal bowl or in the hot stone (+1,50€). Koreans always serve it in hot stones as the rice gets nicely crispy and the meal stays warm. I was a little disappointed with my choice because the duck got quite dry in the hot stone. Therefore, I recommend taking a normal bowl. The atmosphere at Mercosy was super relaxed and laid back. They also offer a lunch menu with Bibimbap + Korean Miso Soup + a homemade Ice tea or Hot Tea. All in all if you’re looking for a great place to have Korean food in Berlin, you can come here.

I wish you a wonderful day!

Coke Zero Sugar – tastes almost like the classic Coke, right?
#TasteTheFeeling Event in Berlin

The new Coke Zero Sugar taste. Is she flying to Berlin again? In fact, I didn’t expect to fly to the capital so soon again. Since I’m a huge Coke fan I couldn’t refuse the invitation from sisterMAG & Coca-Cola. Therefore, I flew up again last friday. On the program was a day in Berlin all about #TasteTheFeeling and the new Coke Zero Sugar.

Can you #Tastethefeeling?

The event was great. First, I didn’t know who they’d invited but a known blogger face has already picked me up at the airport. Together with  I drove straight to the sisterMAG headquarters. Little by litte, the room filled up with a bunch of blogger and influencer (yes, I still love to distinguish that). I was super happy to see familiar and new faces, for example  and many more.

So how does the new Coke Zero Sugar Taste?

The day kicked off with a Coca-Cola tasting, where we tried three different kinds. Initially I thought we would try all five main categories. In fact, I’d tried the Coca-Cola Life last year and was sure to recognize that one – at least one out of five. But what about the other sorts? They made a heavy weather recognizing them. My favorite is the classic Coke. However, also this one tastes different if you drink it out of the PET bottle, can or glass bottle. In the end, we ‘only’ tried the Coca-Cola, Coke Zero and the new Coke Zero Sugar.

I was really suprised about the Coke Zero Sugar taste. Actually, I voted for the Coke Zero Sugar to be the classic one. As a matter of fact, its taste is a lot sweeter than the Coke Zero sugar and comes super close to the classic Coke. And this is really great! From now on I can order a Coke Zero Sugar instead of my favorite classic. Moreover, it contains only 0,2 kcal on 100ml and no sugar at all (to compare: the classic Coca-Cola contains 21 times more calories, whereof 10,6 grams are of sugar). Did I win you over? Have you already tried the new Coke Zero Sugar?
