BaliDiary2. There are so many temples in Bali and I am looking forward to the ones in the hinterlands. Our first temple visit was Pura Luhur Uluwatu which lies in the South of Bali with an impressive scenery. From our homestay it was about 20 minutes away. The parking fee costs around 1000 RP, whilst the temple entrance costs 3000 RP.

For the first time in my life I saw some monkeys. At the beginning they were quite sweet but of one those sneaky monkeys stole and scratched my bf’s sunglasses. So beware of all kings of glasses and better store them in your bag!

Overall the temple itself is nothing spectacular but the view is overwhelming – cliffs, sea, sunshine. I recommend going there around 5pm to have time to visit and enjoy the beautiful sunset at the end. Also, there is a traditional dance at 6pm everyday.

More of Bali is coming up!
