BaliDiary5. After our first temple visit in the South we drove northwards from Seminyak to Tanah Lot. On our way we passed the loud and noisy Kerobokan and drove through the quieter landscape seeing beautiful rice fields and small villages. When you arrive at the temple you need to go through the little touristic village around Tanah Lot before seeing the actual monument. The view onto it from the top was far better than from the bottom. Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to visit and climb onto it. After being blessed with water from the cave and lotus flowers you can step on the first five steps. I’ve to admit that the view from the upper platform was more beautiful. The scenery might look so beautiful in the evening when the sun sets.
On our way home we drove again through the beautiful rice fields and went off from the main street to go to the seaside. Luckily, we found a desert beach with black sand where we relaxed a few hours under the palms and watched the cows grazing.
More of Bali is coming up!
This pictures make me zen! Love the snapshots you made during you travel. Bali is definitely on my bucketlist!
