Shami
The Shami restaurant lies inconspicuously in Markstraße. As soon as you’ll enter you’ll be standing in front of a wall with cool Asian graffitis. The restaurant is divided into three parts: there’s a smaller dining area in the front part followed by a classic bar area and then there is one more larger dining area with bigger tables. Moreover, there’s a terrace outside, but right now it’s way too cold for it. Luckily we got a table right away because it got quite crowded as soon as we were seated. Online I’d only found the À la carte menu and we were surprised by an even better lunch menu.

Shami Food & Drinks
For lunch you’ll find various appetizers, soups, Bun Bowls, different wok-dishes and classic curries on the menu. We chose the Edamame with chili sea salt (3,90€) as appetizer, which is one of my favourite Asian starters (especially with sushi). Conny chose the Crunchy duck with ginger and vegetables (8,90€) and I went for the Chicken with lemongrass and peppers (8,90€). Both dishes were served with rice. My other friend chose one of the Bun Bowls with beef (8,90€). Please beware that the dishes my be quite spicy and check that with the staff. My dish got super spicy after a while but it was full with flavours and tasted great.
