Roadtrippin’ through Northern Québec

EN – NorthernCanada. We finally got our car on the fourth day after having some little unexpected issues with the car rental. I will tell you more about renting a car in Canada in another post. We drove all the way up from Québec City to Saguenay. We passed one lake after the other, e.g. the lake Jacques Cartier, which you can see on the first pictures. Afterwards we continued our drive to the National Parc of Saguenay. Actually our aim of the day was to see the fjord in the bay of Saint-Dominique, which lies beautifully in full nature. Unfortunately, the snow hasn’t melted yet completely and the road to the bay wasn’t accessible by car. The other option was a 7km foot walk, which we didn’t do in terms of time limit. So we drove on to Saint-Jean where we got a not so spectacular glimpse of the fjord – picture 4. Finally, we drove all the way back to Québec City along the beautiful coast side of the St. Lawrence River. All, in all we spent all day long in the car – but for seeing this beautiful landscape it was definitely worth to do.
More tomorrow!DE – NorthernCanada.
