Holiday Styling. Time is running out so quickly for me. Fortunately, since yesterday I can tick of the bigger part of my Christmas present list and can only hope now that all presents will arrive in time. Due to this pre-Christmas stress I usually forget planning what I should wear during Christmas holidays. These last years I always bought some nice dresses, but this year’s choice does not enthuse me. One can wear a dress several times and I wear my festive dresses much too seldom anyway. What is also waiting for a decision is naturally the hair and make-up styling. That is why I show you today a super simple hair style, for which you don’t have to plan a great amount of time. In the video clip below there are still some variations of it.

Holiday Styling Easy, fast, stunning!
This style is super simple presupposed you can handle your curling iron well.
- Curl you hair!
- Do not fear curling your hair alternatively in both directions thus getting more volume and more movement into your hair.
- Pin up your completely curled hair for some minutes and let it chill.
- I always comb my hair through right away without any fear.
- Ultimately pin your hair on your favourite side or backwards corresponding to your parting.
- Voilà – the Christmas look is almost ready.
I have very strong hair and, therefore, I sometimes need up to 40 minutes. I must confess that I use my curling iron always at full power (about 200°C). Besides, very rarely or almost never I use its heat protection. I realise that these two fact together are not the best for my hair. However, at lower heat the procedure would take extremely long and in addition I feel with more heat the result is much better and lasts longer. In the end I stabilise the look with the Aussie hair spray, which I consider of excellent quality. My look lasts until the next day, thanks to my thick and dry hair structure.

Here some more information regarding my curling iron: For almost one year I have been using the curling iron set Sapphire 8 in 1 of Irresistible Me. This company has sent me last year one set and I have been very happy with it right from the start. With my previous curling iron I could not vary its temperature, which is very impractical. At present my set has a reduced price of 129$.
However, if you need only one style I can recommend to you the Braun Satin Hair 7 curling iron with IONTEC, which costs only about 38€. Even with this one you can vary its temperature from 125°C to 185°C and it also provides a pre-adjustment according to your hair’s thickness. As you can see, it does not always need to be the most expensive product. I consider 40€ totally adequate for a curling iron.
One thing that disturbs me with curling irons is their length. My hair is rather long and winding it up gets complicated. Alternatively I could use my fettling iron, but I never achieved satisfactory results with it.

Holiday Styling the perfect makeup finishing
In the end let’s talk about make-up. I am no big fan of much foundation, much lipstick and eye make-up combined. For this reason I am a faithful friend of Bobbi Brown Products, as they produce a very natural complexion. In the picture you see some of my everyday favourites:
- The Brow Multitasker from Estée Lauder / here – 25,99€
- The Artliner Bois de Rose from Lancôme / here – 33,99€
- The Baked Minerals in Gold & Silver from Tromborg as Highlighter and Bronzer / here & here – 65,00€
- Ther Retouching Face Pencil from Bobbi Brown / here – 31,99€
As I already said, I wear a foundation very rarely, although my skin tends to reddening, but I hate wearing a super covering layer on my skin. I am a big fan of Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF 40 from Bobbi Brown. I love this foundation more than anything else! All the better that a short while ago Bobbi Brown has relaunched their Retouching Face Pencils, which I am wearing daily since then. I put the Retouching Face Pencils on the reddened spots, upon which they disappear quickly. This words also very well with eye rings instead of a concealer. The result is fantastic. As Finishing Touch I love the Baked Minerals from Tromborg, conveying as they do a wonderful gloss. I have been using Tromborg already for some years and I am still very much enthused by this natural cosmetic brand from Denmark. That is also the reason why the Baked Minerals are a bestseller in northern countries. Complete it with a black Eyeliner, streak the eyebrows, and use a light lipstick. How do you like my holiday look?
I hope you liked this article. Please give me your suggestions and comment.
Have a nice day!
