Good news – 2018 is not over yet. Same procedure as every year. I drove home to South Tyrol for Christmas. While I’m enjoying some calm pre-Christmas days, it’s time to reminisce in old posts. Here are 2018 most read articles on The Golden Bun.
1 Interior: IKEA PAX organisation
No wonder that this post is one of my 2018 most read articles this year. I’ve already had a PAX system in my old flat but one thing was clear – I want doors! As much as I love to see all my clothes it was time to hide everything and have a much cleaner room. Next step would be to get some pretty door handles or mirrored wardrobe doors.
2 Interior: THE BED-SITE SITUATION
How hard is it to find a lovely bedside table? I found it extremely difficult. Luckily, I found one that suit the style of my room perfectly. Also, it’s the same wood than my bed legs and standing lamp. I’d say jackpot!
3 Beauty: WORTH THE MONEY – PHILIPS LUMEA REVIEW?
Is the Philips Lumea IPL worth its money or not? I’ve tried and tested it for a couple of months. You’ll find out whether it worked for me or not in my Philips Lumea review.
4 Travel: CROATIA – MALI LOSINJ
Luckily, my co-authors could cover a couple of my press trips this year and came back with some beautiful content. The long weekend trip to Mali Losinj this year was one of your favorites. And I can tell – I was a little bit jealous that I couldn’t join on that trip.
5 Travel: SWEDEN – A DESIGN ESCAPE TO VAXJÖ
Weekend getaways are simply the best. As much as I love city getaways a mix of nature and rural flair is the best. Vaxjö in Sweden had surprisingly a lot to offer also desing-wise.
6 Hotel review: AROSEA LIFE AND BALANCE
How long have I been telling you that I need to write about South Tyrol more? Too many times. I’m glad that this post was among 2018 most read articles. South Tyrol has so much to offer. Not to mention how many beautiful hotels for a beautiful mountain getaway such as the Arosea Life and Balance.
7 Beauty: SUPERHERO FOR DRY SKIN
Skin care is never an easy topic. It took me quite some time to find the perfect products. I was a 100% satisfied with the SuperFruits skin care line from Beauté Pacifique for the last year. Nonetheless, I am going to try to change all my beauty products into natural ones (and preferably plastic free). Fingers crossed that I find the perfect products right away.
8 Berlin: JAPANESE FINE DINING – Ryōtei 893
Living in Berlin and loving the food scene you won’t get by all the restaurants of Duc Ngo, the cook without profession. I’ve already been to most of his restaurants. I definitely spent a lovely evening at Ryōtei 893 Restaurant and highly recommend it. However, his Vietnamese/French brasserie Madame Ngo is going to remain my favorite.
9 Interior: MY LONG AWAITED SIDEBOARD
It took me a long time to realize that white rooms are quite boring (no offense if you’ve styled your flat all white as long as you love it). I tried to add some cozy colors with my grey bed and one of my latest additions is this bold red sideboard.
10 Hotel review: MAURITIUS – LONG BEACH, A SUN RESORT
And lastly one of my favorite destinations in 2017 – Mauritius. It took me a little bit longer to finalize my Mauritius review but it was definitely worth it since you liked this article a lot.
