Wiesn Madl. These dirndl shots are matching perfectly in between my Switzerland posts. In less than two months the 5th season of Bavaria starts again and to make sure that you’ll find the perfect dirndl in time I’ll start early. Up to now I owned exactly one dirndl which I absolutely love. Especially because my mom made it and I find it classy yet modern. Some pictures of it are up here. There are way too many kitsch dirndln on this planet. So after 4 years it was about time to get myself a second one.

Having an alternative is always good and I fell in love with this simple dirndl in blue and red from S. Oliver. Also, it has the perfect lenght (remember that dirndln should always be AT LEAST knee-lenght, over the knee looks very vulgar). It comes with the blouse, which is great. A lot of time you’ll find the dirndl without blouse and nice ones are quite expensive. Moreover, I absolutely love their Volksfest collection and I am thinking about getting a dirndl jacket too.

One more tipp for you is to wear flat shoes. No matter how beautiful a dirndl looks with heels you’ll die spending a day on the Wiesn. Especially when the atmosphere is good and you’ll start dancing on the benches which can be very slippery!

Wish you a wonderful day!
