May recap. Hello new month! hello hopefully better weather I was writing last month. Well, my prays weren’t answered and I can count the sunny days on my fingers. If summer proceeds like this I’ll consider to emigrate to warmer places. On the other hand, the bad weather doesn’t bother me right now because I’m working on my master thesis. But I can already see myself not working when summer is coming. We can never please everybody, can’t we? May was still a great month and I am looking forward to June.

Monatsfavoriten WORKED OUT

Let’s ignore this point. I was working out by the beginning of the month but then my wisdom teeth operation came. It quite put me out of action and even though the surgery was already four weeks ago I’m feeling better just now. I’ll definitely try to go running next week.

Monatsfavoriten RECIPES

Last time I was back home I didn’t have anything to do and was rummaging in my mom’s cookbooks. I’ve discovered so many great recipes. I’ve already tried some of them and these are some dishes, which I really liked:

Red peppers with lemon couscous à la Shane’s Kitchen: Kochen zum Anfassen
Potato-pepper-tomato stew with bacon and poached eggs à la Christian Constant
and a lot of wild garlic pesto

Monatsfavoriten SEEN

After The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills I’m awaiting wistfully a new episode of Made in Chelsea. During my recovery from my wisdom teeth surgery I was binge-watching non stop. I absolutely loved Munchies feature Chef’s Night Out and may have watched nearly all episodes. They are short and show chefs after their shift, who take us to their favorite restaurants ending up to theirs at the end. So many great restaurants! Moreover, I watched The Age of Adeline with Blake Lively, which I loved.

Monatsfavoriten PLANNED – TRAVEL

This month will be as quiet as April and I will "only" be in Slovenia for a couple of days. I’m pretty excited for it. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is super bad and I am hoping for a miracle. Also, Fashion Week in Berlin is coming up at the end of the month and I may go there spontaneously. Haven’t planned to go there yet.

Font Santa Hotel – 5* stars thermal spa & wellness in Mallorca

Font Santa Hotel. You’ve already gotten a little preview of this gorgeous hotel in my last Mallorca post. The Font Santa Hotel is located in the South of Mallorca in Campos. Weleda couldn’t have chosen a better place for a little time out.

Font Santa Hotel The design

The 5 star thermal spa & wellness hotel Font Santa is a small oasis. Even though it is located next to a street you won’t notice any of this inside the hotel. Around the Font Santa Hotel you’ll find a natural reserve. The whole facility is perfectly held and offers everything an adult needs to disconnect from daily life. Starting from the entrance a small path with palms to both sides leads to the reception. Entering the lobby a sudden holiday feeling comes over you. The inside is kept white with a mediterranean touch. To the left side of the lobby you’ll find a big lounge. It is designed with white furniture and heavy antique cupboards. Moreover, you’ll find maritime decoration in the whole room.

I slept in the main building, while some of the girls resided in one of the fincas. My room was beautiful und neat. The canopy bead and the light wooden materials expressed an enjoyable atmosphere. The sun was shining and in front of my room there was a small private patio. Compared to the room I found that the bathroom was a little bit big. However, still beautiful and handy with a separate shower and toilet.

And now the most important part of the day and I wasn’t disappointed. The breakfast buffet was big and offered a great variation of healthy food. I liked the fact that they focused on local products. There was a big selection of different cereals together with various seeds. Moreover, you’ll find hummus and delicious smoothies. Also, you can order à la carte, which we also did. We got a delicious poached egg on typical tomato bread with bacon and tasted the mouthwatering pancakes. I could’ve eaten here for hours.

The Font Santa Hotel is the only hotel on the Balearic islands, which have a subterranean thermal spring. You’ll enjoy this in the large spa area. Here you’ll find everything what you need to relax – a sauna, hammam, private whirlpools, foam bath and a small whirlpool with thermal water. A dream!

Font Santa Hotel The outdoor facility

The outdoor facility is huge and you’ll find yourself in a lot of nature. Pines, lavender and palms. There are two pools outside to cool down. Moreover, there are some warm jacuzzis outside, from where you can enjoy the beautiful view onto the salt mountains. Especially during the sunset it felt like being in a little oasis somewhere in the dessert. Too beautiful!

All in all our stay was a dream. A huge plus point was the Adults Only sign at the entrance. Of course, the 5 Star Hotel costs a hell of a money. And those of you who can afford it take at least 2-3 days off.

Denim. Finally weekend! But being a student and self employee weekends don’t really exist for me. However, I try to adapt to my boyfriends working rhythm and take weekends off. Nonetheless, sometimes certain things take too much time during the week and I need to get things done on weekends too. Good thing is that I don’t need as much sleep as my boyfriend does and I try to get everything done on Saturday and Sunday mornings. As a matter of fact, I’m working on my master project this weekend followed by a wine tasting later on. Funnily, we’ll be testing different wines coming from my home region South Tyrol. I’ll keep you updated!

The nice weather is back and I finally could wear this gorgeous denim dress from Esprit to yesterdays breakfast date with my dear Olga. But to be honest I didn’t really know how to combine it. Every dress looks better in high heels and this one is a tough one being quite sporty. Good reason to take out some pumps again! How come that I stopped wearing all my gorgeous high heels? I need to get them all out of their boxes otherwise I completely forget about them. I tried a red combination but it didn’t look great. Therefore, I went with White, which is always a good idea. These Isabel Marant Rivet Jewel pumps were waiting in their box and I haven’t worn them yet. By the way, I’m so pale! I would need a month of holiday to get a little bit of a color. Luckily, my boyfriend are escaping into the sun a couple of days next week. Can’t wait.

Bite Delite. What a better start into the day with a delicious breakfast at Bite Delite. This new spot in the Fünf Höfe in Munich offers a great selection of healthy food and drinks to go. Morover, you can stay inside (or outside if the weather is nice) to eat.

Bite Delite Food & Drinks

When entering you’ll find a big refrigerated counter with delicious meals to go. I spotted Hummus Heaven, Dipsy Minty Pea or Sweet Potato Love. Moreover, you’ll find fresh fruit and drinks. It’s a pity that it’s all packed in plastic but if you’re working nearby you can get a ceramic bowl to go – tastes way better in it. Bite Delite focuses on healthy food using a lot of powerfoods too. I found delicious salads, wraps and soups as well on the menu.

We stayed to have breakfast and ordered a delicious Açai-Bowl, Quinoa Porridge and tried one of their newest Drinks the Beetroot Latte. The Beetroot Latte tasted a little bit sweet with a spicy note of ginger. I’m not a huge fan of beetroot but my company liked it. My Açai Bowl was delicious and you can topp it with more ingredients (beware: the açai berry tinted my teeth completely blue).

All in all, it’s a lovely spot for having lunch or a little snack. Next time I’ll try one of their salads or wraps, which I’m curious how they taste.

# breathenow. Some weeks ago Weleda invited a motley crew of blogger girls to Mallorca. It was my first time on the island and I was even more excited. I didn’t know who was joining on the trip. Franzi and Swantje were flying with me from Munich and I was happy to see known faces at the airport of Palma de Mallorca. I knew Julia, Carmen and Anja from our trip to Zurich. It’s been definitely a while we saw each other for the last time.

Our big party bus drove us to the adults only Font Santa Hotel – what a beautiful retreat! Ok, no partybus because we were way too far from Ballermann. Moreover, I preferred our stay a lot better. Mallorca has indeed beautiful corners and Weleda had compiled a relaxing program for us. Just time to rest! There is to say that I’m a little fidgety but I was willing into this experiment…

# breathe now time out

A time out is exactly what most of us needed. Exhausted and jaded we all sit in front of our computers and accumulate more and more stress. I know that feeling! During my university time the last weeks of the semester were so stressful. I didn’t even know how to get more time. After our final crit there were always exams or starting a new job and furthermore. Always restless! This dramatic image also shows the new Weleda campaign. It’s so true! Breathe now!

Oil vs. facial cream

Myrtha introduced us to the almond series of Weleda: the wonderful almond oil, cleansing lotion, body lotion and more. I’ve been using the almond oil and cleansing milk daily, which have replaced my micellar water. I never took into consideration using oil instead cream for my face. Weleda showed me the opposite. In fact, oil enters even deeper into the skin layers. Consequently, I’ve only been using the Weleda almond oil and I’m so satisfied with it. Read more about my cleansing products here.

On both afternoons we went to the beautiful Es Trenc beach, which is a fifteen-minute bike ride from the Font Santa hotel. The beach is still natural and I recommend each of you a visit! Small dunes , shells on the beach and relaxing moments in the sun. Could be worse?

A more beautiful place Weleda couldn’t have chosen. I’ll tell you more about the Font Santa Hotel in a separate post. We let fade away our first and last evening with a lovely introduction of almonds by Rene. You can see that he was fully committed in his role. It was followed by a delicious dinner and lots of chats.

I was so relaxed when I came back to Munich. You can understand that nobody of us wanted to leave this gorgeous place. A couple of more days would have been indeed great. But we all had to get back to daily life! Hasta la vista Mallorca!
