Clasico Argentino. This week has been all about Paris and I have one more restaurant recommendation in stock. I’ve spotted this Argentine place on Instagram a while ago (my camera roll is full with Instagram-Restaurant snapshots from all over the world) and was excited to go there. When meeting up with Ylenia at Ob-La-Di she also confirmed that it was totally worth going there.

This Argentinian chain Clasico Argentino has around 3-4 locations in the city. Fearing that the one in Marais Nord would be really crowded we reserved at the one close to Pigalle which was also directly by metro. Funnily it was one bar further to Buvette which I wanted to try for ages (at least I know where it is now). It’s been quite a while now since my travels to Argentina where I’ve tried the real empanadas for the first time. Empanadas is a stuffed bread/pastry filled with a variety of meat, cheese, fish or veggies. I had a really delicious memory about them in my head.

We went there with a couple of friends and the interior was already very nice. I feared that it was one more hip overprized place but that wasn’t the case at all at Clasico Argentino. The empanadas cost 4€ and they have great variations like ham & cheese, tuna, mais, chicken and much more. Moreover, you can order a 12-empanadas-set to share for 44€ or one for two people which I remember to be around 35€. For three people the 12 set is perfect. You only need to guess which one has which filling. My favourite were mais and chicken! In case you went there, let me know which ones were yours!

Enjoy!
