Wow – my trip to Bali was already over 3 years ago! It was definitely one of the most beautiful trips of my life spent with a special person. Over the years, I’ve gotten many requests regarding our route on Bali & Lombok. This reminded me that I’ve never actually written about it. Time for a little recap and showing you the route.

① 5 days in the SOUTH OF BALI
WHAT TO SEE: Pura Luhur Uluwatu, Binging Beach, Paradise Beach
WHERE TO STAY: Budget – Susie’s Inn (we stayed there!), Sun & Surf Binging Beach, Le Yanandra, Boutique Hotels / Villas – Sal Secret Spot, Jamahal Private Resort & Spa, The Ungasan, favorite!! The Glass House
WHERE TO EAT: have grilled fish at Binging Beach, Single Fin Restaurant, El Merkat, The Cashew Tree




② 2 days in SEMINYAK
WHAT TO SEE: Tanah Lot Temple, go to Seminyak beach or enjoy a day at a beach club, go shopping, enjoy some time at the spa
WHERE TO STAY: Budget – Brown Feather, Uma Karan, The Dipan, Boutique Hotels / Villas – The Cotton House
WHERE TO EAT: Souq Cafe, Sea Circus, Café Kim Soo, The Bistrot, Barbacoa, Merah Putih, Saigon Street



③ 5 days on GILI AIR
WHAT TO SEE: Binging Beach,
WHERE TO STAY: Budget Pesanggerahan Sapari Family, Kombok Cottage, Leppa Komae – Boutique Hotels – aZa Zil Bungalows, Sunrise Resort, Bambu Cottages
WHAT TO EAT: we’ve tried different dishes on Gili Air and loved them. However, never ever take the super spicy waterspinat!!

④ 4 days in LOMBOK
WHAT TO SEE: the South of Lombok is still untouched and untouristy. Enjoy time at the beaches, take a surf course. For the very sporty ones – you can go on a two-days-hike in the mountains (very advanced!)
WHERE TO STAY: Budget – Kebun Villas & Resort (we stayed there!), The Jayakarta Lombok, Beach Resort & Spa, Grand Royal BIL Hotel Boutique Hotels – Qunci Villas Hotel, Cocotinos Sekotong, Boutique Beach Resort & Spa
WHERE TO EAT: we mostly ate at food stalls, it was a lot cheaper than on Bali






⑤ 3 days in UBUD
WHAT TO SEE: Tegallalang Rice Terrace, Ubud Palace, Monkey Forest (wasn’t a fan of!), just eat your way through Ubud!
WHERE TO STAY: Budget – The Sanankara, Calma Ubud, Byasa Guesthouse, Boutique Hotels / Villas – Villa Naga Putih, Jagi Cottage, Kupu Kupu Barong Villas and Tree Spa by L’OCCITANE
WHERE TO EAT: Café Watercress, Kopi Kats, Café Pomegranate, The Elephant, Copper Kitchen & Bar, Mozaic

⑥ 2 days in JATILUWIH
WHAT TO SEE: the rice terraces of course, drive to Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple
WHERE TO STAY: Budget – Teras Subak Jatiluwih (we stayed there!), Boutique Hotel – Ti Amo Bali, Sang Giri – Mountain Tent Resort
WHERE TO EAT: a food stall is probably the best you’ll find!



⑦ 1 day in SEMINYAK

vielen lieben Dank für die Nachricht. Ich kann dir eine Bali Reise auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlen. Wir haben auch nicht die ganz üblichen Touri-Sports gemacht. Leider hat sich Bali meiner Meinung nach nach dem ganzen “Influencen” etwas verändert. Aber einmal muss man es gesehen haben.
