Wow – I’m actually tanned this summer. Can’t believe it! Finally, my ‘aristocratic pallor’ is gone (I had to work all summer last year). But I’m sure the tan will go sooner or later in September. Let’s see if the South of France still has some sun in a few weeks! Here in South Tyrol, it’s quite cloudy right now and I’m using the time to finally finish my Vietnam Travel Posts – yaaay! Can’t wait to show you all the pictures. They’re definitely one of my favorites.
Here’s one last look from Mauritius, wearing an autumnal floral blouse along with my favorite metallic skirt. And oh-em-geh! With these heels I’m 15cm taller! These cute platform heels have been a decoration on my shelf for two years now and I’ve never worn them. Actually, they don’t look so bad! I will switch the platform sandals with a pair of ballet pumps for now. Or wear the whole look with a pair of booties!

Wow – my trip to Bali was already over 3 years ago! It was definitely one of the most beautiful trips of my life spent with a special person. Over the years, I’ve gotten many requests regarding our route on Bali & Lombok. This reminded me that I’ve never actually written about it. Time for a little recap and showing you the route.
WHAT TO EAT: we’ve tried different dishes on Gili Air and loved them. However, never ever take the super spicy waterspinat!! Find my Gili Air Food Guide here!
④ 4 days in LOMBOK
WHAT TO SEE: the South of Lombok is still untouched and untouristy. Enjoy time at the beaches, take a surf course. For the very sporty ones – you can go on a two-days-hike in the mountains (very advanced!)
WHERE TO EAT: a food stall is probably the best you’ll find!

I hope this little Bali Guide was helpful for you! Please not that we’ve been there three years ago. Therefore, I don’t know if the one or other place is closed or has changed its name.
So far, I can only repeat myself saying that this summer has been one of my best. Taking time off consciously, being my own boss, traveling as much as I can but also enjoying enough time back home. Right now, I feel like I’m ready for a new adventure, which in my case will probably be a move to a new city. For now, it isn’t sure yet and I will let you know as soon as possible.
What happened this month? I tried to stay mostly at home in August and enjoy the summer in South Tyrol. This included for example a beautiful hike to Kratzbergersee in the surroundings of Meran, time at the beautiful lakes, BBQ at home but also working on some architectural projects. Moreover, I was in Berlin with Sensodyne. But the best was yet to come. I flew to Mauritius for a huge project with my mum. More impressions of it will follow soon!

… about solo traveling vs traveling with friends. I traveled a lot on my own in the past months but I’m so terrible at being alone. I’ve realized that solo traveling isn’t for me at all. I just got home from five beautiful days at my friend’s country house in the Marche (region adjacent to Tuscany). We’d already been there six years ago with a bigger group of friends. Going on vacation with friends is a complete other thing than my work trips. Therefore, I tried to put away the phone as much as I could. Being surrounded by people you love is just the best! Luckily, I’ve got one more trip with my girlfriends planned in September and I can’t wait!
Monthly favoritesWISHLIST
I definitely exaggerated this month. I felt the urgent need to get some new clothes and did some online shopping. I’ve already shown you some of the items in my latest looks. But I also got rid of many pieces.
Here’s a little wishlist for fall. I’m sorry for all the dark colors already but the bad weather today inspired me!

I’ve read so much! Since I’ve discovered a great book app I read non-stop this month – 7 books is definitely my record in a while! The trip in Mauritius was perfect to read but also the days in Italy. Here are a couple of books I’ve read. Did I mention that I love chick-lit?

I absolutely took advantage of my Netflix subscription. I’ve started to watch Jane the Virgin. To be honest, the trailer looked quite boring. However, as soon as I’ve started with episode one I was caught. In the first night, I watched 10 episodes. It’s been quite a while since I watched series until 5pm. I’ve finished all three seasons now and hopefully the fourth will come out soon!
Montly favoritesplanned – travels
September will be all about renovating our attic back home. I can’t wait the work to start and would love to see the result right away. I’ll be in Stuttgart next week for a work trip. As I said, I’ve got another girls trip planned at the end of September.

Can’t believe summer is slowly coming to an end. But as long as I can wear shorts during the day, I’m one happy kid. I’m currently editing all the pictures from Mauritius while I’m still at my friend’s house in the Marche (Italy). As per usual, I’m so much faster editing outfit pictures! Also, the locations on Mauritius were absolutely gorgeous! The Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort with its modern architecture was a dream.
This crop top has been hanging in my closet for two years now and I’ve never worn it. Well, the right bottom had always been missing and when I spotted these cute summer shorts with frills, they were calling for it. Moreover, I’ve already shown you these white sandals from Asos, which I got in the sales. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Buongiorno! I’m back in Italy since Saturday. As a matter of fact, I felt the need to finally show you the pictures from our little trip to Verona. As you may already know, Irina and Conny came down to Lago di Garda for a couple of days. Combining the stay with a little day trip to Verona was very convenient. Verona is approximately 1,5 hours away from my hometown, which was the perfect excursion during school. Therefore, the only few times I visited the city was with our class. I think I haven’t been to Verona in five years. The last time I was in Verona was with my dad.
Here are a couple of recommendations what to do & where to eat in Verona!
Good thing is that I could re-explore the city and show Irina and Conny around. Since we caught some of the hot days, we got there very early and left right after noon. We strolled through the city center, which wasn’t so crowded. Of course, people were queuing around Romeo e Giulietta. Irina being a big Shakespeare fan was one happy kid after visiting the House of Giulietta.
Mini sightseeing inVERONA
I must confess that I’ve only seen the main sights in Verona. I prefer to stroll through the city and breathe the Italian life in, have a quick cappuccino al banco and grab a delicious focaccia.
Of course, the Arena of Verona is a must. I visited it the last time, which was very beautiful. I’ve added going to a concert in the Arena onto my bucket list. The summer concerts looked too great this year.
La Casa di Giulietta – all Shakespeare fans have to go there. You can leave a little love note on the entrance! I recommend going very early in the morning because it gets very crowded in the afternoon!
Torre dei Lamberti – climb up the tower to get a great view onto the city center and the beautiful Piazza delle Erbe.
A visit of Castelvecchio.
A beautiful stroll through Giardino Giusti – one of the most beautiful Renaissance garden of Italy still on my list for the next time!!
