Beauty love | I couldn’t deny any longer that I love serums…

After my beauty disaster last year, I am happy to have my skin care well under control. Looking back on the past year, it was especially the serums that did it to me.

I couldn’t deny any longer that I love serums…

Facial serums are particularly popular for their high concentration. At a young age you hardly think about it. As I’m approaching 30, I’ve been gripped by it and I always think that one or the other product could do me more harm in my beauty routine. My skin is always very good except for a few PMS-related impurities. For some months now, I have noticed the fineness of the pores and suppleness, especially in the morning.

My SERUM FAVORITES so far

When I bought the products I blindly trusted my beauty blogger colleagues and reviews. Currently I use five products alternately. The notorious products of The Ordinary can be easily ordered at Douglas. I always order the Paula’s Choice products directly on the site (every now and then there are discount codes, which are definitely worthwhile if you order several times a year like me).

The introduction to serum INgredients

… an oily serum with antioxidants and vitamin C for anti-aging, which reduces fine lines and sun damage

… Retinol has a stronger effect against anti-aging

… “low-molecular” hyaluronic acid for natural elasticity and firmness of the skin

My current products in use couldn’t be more different, so it is also difficult to choose a favourite. The Ordinary’s serum is super fluid and light, which is why I initially found it best to apply. Before that I had also used the Skin Recovery Serum from Paula’s Choice, which is now in daily use again in autumn due to its oily and firmer consistency. I also like the Vinoperfect Serum from Caudalie, which I find great because of its fragrance and lotion-like consistency. It is also supposed to reduce pigment spots. The Night Repair Serum by Estée Lauder is probably the most expensive one in the group, which I only use under the eyes. It is super rich and, with its high concentration, is intended for more mature skin.
